The PTC
I remember during the Attitude Era that the PTC (Parents Television Council) were always threatening the WWE due to the content of their product. They would do this by telling sponsors to stop advertising on WWE shows. I was wondering, how much of a part did the PTC have in getting the WWE to "tone down" their product into the crap that we have today?

I'd say little to none.
It's more because now they're a publicly traded company and the media that people actually give a shit about are on their asses. |

They give a shit about sponsors. And the PTC got several to pull their time. For a while, ad revinue was down. I wouldn't say none, but it didn't have a HUGE impact.

WWF lost several big sponsors because of the PTC. The ones I can think of off the top of my head was Burger King and Pepsi
