That wasn't in front of the entire WWE viewing audience on their flagshit show during what was a very serious business moment.

Not excusing it but that was 2002. He might be a different guy now.

So this. Why would Titus think it is goofing around time when D Bryan is having his retirement segment. Still supreme extreme to make him miss Mania.

This is so stupid. Titus is stupid for doing it. Vince is stupid for making it such a big deal. Fucking job the guy out to The Social Outcasts for a few weeks and then release The Prime Time Players because they fucking suck.

Seriously, they can't work. They've been on the main roster for almost six years now and Titus has had one good match with Sheamus.

Newest update explaining the situation from Tidus' side and the whole thing was meant to just be a lighthearted joke.

That is one of the weirdest and stupidest things I have ever heard and it will not help him out one bit.

Fairly certain Darren Young has a job for life if he wants it. Otherwise I have no clue why they would have kept him around still even after breaking up The Prime Time Players for a second time (and trying to make Titus the one who gets pushed each time).

He does, but it isn't fair given the guy's limitations.

Titus is remarkably bad in the ring considering his athletic background. Shame really, he has a killer physique, would give the company a legitimate African American star, and is by most accounts a super nice dude. Could have easily seen him winning the World Heavyweight Title if there were still 2 brands.
Shame he fucking blows in the ring. His age also works against him. |

Yeah, his only good match (as Noid mentioned) was with Sheamus. The more I think about it, Sheamus really is a fucking fantastic worker.

Sheamus is a great worker that has been overexposed. He's been seen too often and has talked too much. Nothing about him seems "special" and when they put the belt on him it sucks the wind right out of the main event scene.
I think the guy could be a tremendous heel mid-card champion though. Could you imagine him as a bully IC Champion defending the title against "little fellas" who get close but no cigar? |

If they want a black guy who looks good that can work, they should call an Apollo Crews or sign Moose.

Crews and Moose both kinda lack charisma, though. Both pretty good in the ring, but they could use some work.

Percy Watson had a great personality, but I have no clue why he was released. Maybe there were other issues? If he wants to be a wrestler and doesn't have any major problems, I don't know why you wouldn't use him.
Angelo Dawkins is pretty good too. And Jason Jordan. |

Jordan is quite impressive in the ring, but I think Gable is the personality there. Teaming with Gable has definitely been bringing a bit out of Jordan though, which is nice.

Briley Pierce (Dolph Ziggler's brother) started it when he was still NXT. Basically just a bunch of silly vids involving him, Bateman, Percy, and Trent Barreta. Kept it going on the indies too although he hasn't added anything to the channel in a year.

According to PW Torch, the original punishment for Titus was going to a lot more strict in terms of time off. Took a lot of talking and convincing to get Vince to drop it to 90 days and then another round of talks for the current 60 days punishment.
Also took a lot of talks just for Titus to keep his job since that was also an option Vince wanted as punishment. |

Small update mostly about who it was that convinced Vince to not go for the fired option as punishment.
Quote:
Vince wanted him fired as the first option and it took a lot to both convince him how bad it would look PR-wise and to agree on Titus missing out on the big Mania paycheck instead with the 60 days punishment. |

Firing Titus because he touched Vince McMahon's arm is ridiculous. Titus should be fired based on his abilities as a wrestler.
