In Need of Anti-Virus and Pop-up Killers
I just recently got the internet on my main computer and I'm interested in downloading a good anti-virus program and a pop-up killer. If anyone knowns a few good ones I could download, could you please tell me. Thanks

for a pop up killer, if you go to screensaver.com and get one, i think one comes with it

Google Toolbar is a good popup killer, or you could just do what I do and use Netscape.
Norton is the best anti-virus software, look into getting that. McAfee is pretty good also. |

AVG free anti virus is great. It scores just as well and sometimes better than Norton or Macafee.
As for pop ups... I use the Google toolbar. It's a real time saver and it comes with a built in pop up blocker. There is also a program called Pop Up Stopper if you just want to block pop ups without adding a toolbar to your browser. Hell, use them both at the same time if you want. They are both free. |
