I enjoyed the Hulk Hogan/Mr. America angle and wish it had gone on longer and had a more climactic ending.

That's the spirit! I definitely remember finding that match to be awful.

Staying with that era of WWE, I thought biker Chuck Palumbo could have and should have been a bigger deal. He had kind of a badass vibe to him. I would not have been upset if they had pushed him and tested the waters with a main event run. I think the crowd would have gotten behind him.



I don't know. I feel like it was just kinda brushed off but I remember feeling like this could have been a pretty huge "rebirth" for the guy.

I loved Deuce 'n Domino and wish they had been kept relevant after they lost the belts instead of jobbing for 8 months and breaking up.

Or if they did break up once they shipped Deuce off to Raw to do the Sim Snuka/Legacy thing they could have let Domino stay on SmackDown and go into his over the top greaser/Andrew Dice Clay thing that he had been doing in OVW. He could have wound up being the blue brand's de facto comedy heel as Santino was on Raw.

Fucking loved Deuce 'n' Domino. Seriously one of my 5 favorite tag teams of all time. And Domino was perfect with the Dice Clay gimmick. Should have been able to make a career out of it.

Could easily have imagined him coming out every week, ripping on his opponent, then said opponent coming out and kicking his ass. He'd have actually gotten over by being a hapless loser just because of his talking ability, and it probably would have led to a singles midcard title run as a result.

Knowing WWE, if they had kept the team together they'd have gotten drafted to Raw at some point and died a slow painful death just like Londrick did in 2007.

While that particular moment didn't make me excited, I think late WCW in general would qualify for me.

My first real exposure to wrestling was watching Nitro in April or so of 1998. And I was hooked. I probably watched Nitro every single week or close to it over the 3 years that followed, right up until the final episode. Yes I'd flip to Raw during commercials. But when Nitro was on, that was what I had on my TV. It never once sunk in to me that the product was horrific in 2000 because I was so young I had no idea about quality of writing, etc.

I was 12 when the company folded. Obviously within a few years I wound up developing more of an understanding of what I like in wrestling and realized just how bad the stuff I was watching was especially in comparison to what WWF was churning out during that same time period.

But it's still an odd source of pride for me that I stuck with my "team" until the end.

Still a big fan of Zack Ryder.

Until the Attitude Era, the Bushwackers were may favorite tag team. Was a bigger fan of them than some of the other famous teams at the time like Road Warriors, Steiner Bros, and Demolition.

I like late 90's/00's WCW in hindsight just because I miss when stuff used to happen constantly. Even if the storylines were ridiculous, there was never any filler. I think I prefer that over the nothingness that fills most of Raw nowadays.

Insane Clown Posse. They were shockingly decent in the ring and were mad over alot of the time. I don't remember if anything "went wrong" in either of their runs in WWE or WCW, but I liked em.

Brawl for All.

Watching the '98 RAWs that have been put on the Network, I'm digging the brawl for all much more than I did 17 (!) Years ago. It was different, somewhat compelling, and shone a much brighter spotlight on mid/lower card guys than they could ever hope to today.

I was 12 when the company folded. Obviously within a few years I wound up developing more of an understanding of what I like in wrestling and realized just how bad the stuff I was watching was especially in comparison to what WWF was churning out during that same time period.

But it's still an odd source of pride for me that I stuck with my "team" until the end.

I have this weird memory of this one Nitro in, I think, April 1999, which opened with a "Kendo Stick Match" between Hak and Kendall Windham, and I was such a young mark that'd be a sucker for anything. I was super excited and, at the time as I taped wrestling a lot because it was on so late, I watched that match over and over.

Obviously, it was shite. But 12-year-old me didn't know any better.

I was excited by Hulk Hogan coming back in red and yellow in the late WCW. His feuds sucked ass and he was pretty bad in the ring but I still marked out.

I still believe that for the era they were in, Dupree and Kenzo Suzuki were a hell of a tag team. Also enjoyed The Highlanders.
