Pretty sure it was more of a new arena deal than the fans not caring.

I think there is a documentary and a Grantland article that blames the whole issue between 3 things:
1) Stern having one of his "buddies" buy the Sonics with no intention of keeping them there. 2) City and state was unwilling to pay hundreds of millions again for a new stadium due to the Seahawks just had their stadium built. 3) Howard Schultz while good as an owner of Starbucks was a complete dumbass as a sports owner. |

4) Paid attendance numbers differing from the the number of people watching.

Theres an NBA.com front page article that says "Please pretty please let the Heat and the Thunder play in the NBA Finals."
What kind of fucking garbage article is this and why is it on the main page of the NBA? Fuck you Shaun Powell. |

Now I don't know what to do Saturday night. Either watch the Heat vs Celtics Game 7, or the Pacquiao fight. Decisions.

Pacquiao-Bradley fight itself is getting delayed until the end of the Heat vs Cs game so no need to decide.
Either Pac's manager or himself made the request and it got approved considering Pac is a Cs fan and wants to see the game on tv. Nobody bothered to ask Bradley but he didn't care in the end. |

Haha such a "F.U." move by Pacquiao. He'll request to delay the fight so he can watch the basketball game, then he'll fight Bradley, and after all that, he'll probably do a concert (as he's done in the past).

Heat vs Thunder for the finals but that 4th Q had a lot of BS. Cs problem besides Lebron being a FT machine was poor 2nd halves which is something they had issues with the past 2-3 years in the playoffs.
Most likely the Cs Big 3 Era is over with Garnett considering retirement and Allen leaving/retiring. 3 East Conference Finals, 2 NBA Finals, 1 title in a 5 year span. Rondo had another playoff triple double but all the talk will be about Lebron's stats mimicking Wilt and Baylor's stats against the Cs. Pacquiao probably going to beat the shit out of Bradley tonight for their boxing match considering he delayed the fight in order to root for the Celtics. |

The 2012 NBA Finals are going to be very interesting. I see the Thunder running circles around the Heat (literally), but who knows?

I have every reason to want OKC to win and for the Heat to fall on there faces, but Lebron is so damn good, I want him to get a ring.

I have little doubt that the Heat will win the title. No way does Stern want the small market OKC to win it.

it's not like he walked up to someone and was like "WE'RE GONNA WIN 7 TITLES, SUCK IT NBA!."
it was at a professional sports version of a pep rally. should he have been like "I hope we can win 1 title, maybe make a conference final and then we'll all be satisfied"? |

Grizzlies are getting sold to comm. tech magnate Robert Pera for around $350 mil.
He intends to keep the team in Memphis. |
