hmmm. I don't think that would work as you ask but if you preselect your draft that'll help
PROTIP, if you do that, don't just go for the expected players, the auto draft will give you the best ranked player anyway, so if there are sleepers you want, then add them to your wish list. Look over how you think the draft would go, and choose your wish list in a round by round-ish manner. Not just the top 25 players that are out there as your wish list, that just means after round 2 you get top Yahoo picks. 'ya know. |

Not sure if I'm gonna make the draft today. I might be able to but at this point I'm gonna assume I won't. We'll see though.

This year I'm the least prepared I've ever been, but I'm pretty confident in my baseball knowledge anyway. I pretty much know about every player out there.

Well now, one draft done, and here's my team:
C - Brian McCann 1B - Prince Fielder 2B - Ian Kinsler 3B - Kevin Youkillis SS - Orlando Cabrera OF - Matt Holiday OF - Lance Berkman OF - Eric Byrnes Util - Chris Young BN - Jermaine Dye SP - Brandon Webb SP - Yovanni Gallardo SP - John Maine SP - Andy Pettitte SP - Greg Maddux SP - Tom Gorzelanny RP - Manny Corpas RP - Carlos Marmol RP - Joakim Soria RP - Jonathan Broxton RP - Rafael Perez Really young bullpen. Drafted Berkman by accident but he fits the team well, I guess. Was hoping for Brandon Phillips in the 3rd but someone actually took him in the first round (AHEAD OF UTLEY???????). I was somehow able to get Prince Fielder and Matt Holiday with the 11th and 14th picks. |

Hmm...I guess not terrible for my first draft. Definitely could have made some better decisions for a couple spots but whatever. Pretty weak in the SB category.
Hopefully Hanley could be around the same as last year. The Marlins losing Cabrera definitely won't help. Was pretty torn on that first pick between Hanley or Reyes. |

LOL yeah. Was thinking the same thing as you. Getting Sizemore in the 2nd round and then hoping Phillips would be there a couple picks later for the 3rd round. Phillips getting drafted like 4th overall kinda messed up that flow.
Was actually gonna get Berkman if he got back to me too. |

Kinda glad I got Berkman because I was gonna draft Brian Roberts instead, who I didn't really want anyway. Kinsler might end up being better. I wish he'd raise his AVG to around .280 or so. I might be hurting in AVG a little, if anyone is interested in a deal.

heh....so much for auto drafting. I ended up with Brandon Phillips so guess that must have been me...pretty sure I had Utley and Upton ahead of him but
Not horribly unsatisfied with my team (and that saves category is ,) but definitely gonna need to pull some W's from somewhere. Hopefully I'll pull another Fausto Carmona from my you-know-what |

C - Ramon Hernandez
1B - Adrian Gonzalez 2B - Robinson Cano 3B - Garrett Atkins SS - Hanley Ramirez OF - Carlos Lee OF - Grady Sizemore OF - Matt Kemp Util - Jim Thome BN - Edwin Encarnacion BN - Josh Hamilton BN - Michael Bourn SP - Justin Verlander SP - Aaron Harang RP - Rafael Soriano RP - Troy Percival P - Tim Lincecum P - Dustin McGowan P - Jeremy Accardo BN - Brandon Lyon BN - Randy Johnson Not terrible I guess. Hanley, Sizemore and Lee could probably be top 20 picks. My 1B/3B situation was a mess for a while. Gonzalez was there pretty late so decided to grab him. Encarnacion is a solid guy at 3rd on the bench. If BJ Ryan struggles coming back from TJ surgery Accardo could be a great pick. |

C: Bengie Molina
1B: Travis Hafner 2B: Placido Polanco 3B: David Wright SS: Carlos Guillen OF: Ichiro Suzuki OF: Jason Bay OF: Pat Burrell Util: Miguel Tejada BN - Joey Votto BN - Adam LaRoche BN - Aaron Hill BN - Jose Guillen SP - Erik Bedard SP - John Lackey RP - Billy Wagner RP - Matt Capps P - James Shields P - Tim Hudson P - Ian Snell BN - B.J. Ryan --- That rotation is amazing. A bit miffed Yahoo didn't give me an extra reliever tho (I had to leave with 4 picks to go). I have talented guys on the bench even considering Guillen is suspended 50 games, I'll shop any of them for a reliever. |

Nah, had to reject it. Not really a big fan of his at all. Don't trust him.
Kemp gives me solid power and speed hopefully. |

I'm shopping for more speed.
Was hoping you'd counter offer or something... You're too top heavy with the batters, too thin on the pitching. in my humble opinion. Kemp is yet to prove himself and... well... let me see what else I can come up with. |

I dunno. I'm just not feeling those guys. Zito will be bad again this year I think. Just have no interest at all in him.
I just think my two guys will give me more than Zito/Francis this year. I'd just rather go with the higher potential guys. |

If you're looking for speed, Hero, how do you feel about:
Chris Young & Orlando Cabrera for Derek Jeter & Kosuke Fukudome |

C - Kenji Johjima
1B - Justin Morneau 2B - Kaz Matsui 3B - Aramis Ramirez SS - Edgar Renteria OF - Torii Hunter OF - Vernon Wells OF - Michael Cuddyer Util - David Ortiz BN - Josh Willingham BN - Luis Castillo BN - Casey Blake SP - Jake Peavy SP - Kelvim Escobar SP - Joe Blanton SP - Bronson Arroyo RP - Mariano Rivera RP - Huston Street RP - Rafael Betancourt RP - Pat Neshek RP - Dennys Reyes ---------------------- Better than last years draft for me, I think Escobar may be doubtful for most of April though didn't realise that at the time, could do with another RP or two but I'm happy with the bullpen generally, just hope Reyes isn't used as sparingly as he was last year |
