SmackDown SPOILERS - April 21st, 2016 - Now with video!

* WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz and Maryse kick off SmackDown with MIZTV in the ring. We see Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson attacking Roman Reigns on RAW. Guest AJ Styles comes out and says he had nothing to do with it. The Miz argues with AJ Styles. AJ Styles and the Miz fight. This leads to Styles vs. Miz being announced for tonight.





1 - Ryback defeated U.S. Champ Kalisto in a non-title match clean with a pinfall. Ryback marched around the ring after the match.







* Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin is announced for later tonight in a loser leaves WWE Match!


2 - Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin never happens as Corbin beats Ziggler down and hits End of Days outside of the ring.





3 - AJ Styles defeated The Miz in a good match. Miz tried to leave at one point but Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson stopped him. This led to AJ getting the win. AJ had a staredown with Gallows and Anderson after the match. The Miz refuses to leave the ringside area until AJ Styles ties to Gallows/Anderson are revealed. Miz/Maryse get on commentary.


4 - Natalya and Paige def. Naomi and Tamina.


* Shane McMahon comes out to the ring. Shane starts to talk to the fans in attendance when Miz gets in his face. Shane takes out the Miz and throws him out of the ring!

4- R-Truth defeated Fandango w/ special guest ref Goldust





* Kevin Owens will see Shane McMahon in court!





* Backstage segment with Gallows and Anderson. They say they're just making an impact, not joining up with Styles. They will debut against The Usos on RAW


* Enzo and Cass cut an in-ring promo. Vaudevillians come out and the two teams have a verbal exchange. Crowd chants "what" at Vaudevillians. The match is confirmed for Payback.


* Primo & Epico ‘Greetings From Puerto Rico’ promo aired.

* 5 - Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens defeated Dean Ambrose and Sami Zayn in the tag team main event when Chris Jericho pushed Dean Ambrose off the top rope, allowing Kevin Owens to get the pinfall. Owens and Jericho celebrated afterwards to finish the show.

Now Ryback defeats Kalisto. SMH. Ziegler/Corbin in a loser leaves WWE match is interesting. I could see Ziggler in NXT for a bit.

Feel like I'd be fine if Ziggler went away for awhile tbh he's always been great in the ring but he's done absolutely nothing of substance in ages.

I was under the impression that Zigs was supposed to be HBK 2.0. With him using Sweet Chin Music/tuning up the band for no apparent reason.

Feel like it will end up AJ feuding with then due to something they do at the ppv. Maybe they interference, AJ defends Reigns, Reigns spears AJ for the win, and then AJ wants his revenge.

Heel AJ is what I really want. Would ideally like to see AJ/Finn/Gallows/Anderson all together but I don't think WWE will do that.

I'm thinking, with recent NXT news, that they will want the crowd to think that all signs point to AJ when Balor debuts and cleans house, eclipsing Reigns immediately.

Any way it goes I don't see Reigns getting cheers over AJ or Balor/Balor Club no matter what they do.

The Usos are becoming the Dolph Ziggler of tag teams. They will probably job on Raw. Or maybe they'll escape that match only to job down the road in a more high-profile match on PPV. But ultimately, they exist to job.

AJ is too popular right now. Heel AJ is just going to get cheered, and if kids hate him, it'll just cut into his potential merchandise sales too much. Just doesn't seem like the most calculated move. Styles can handle a babyface chase and Reigns as a heel has so many more options moving forward.
