1st PPV for Global Force Wrestling was announced with a twist
Jeff Jarrett's GFW announced their 1st ppv won't be from them but instead as the American provider for NJPW 2015 Wrestle Kingdom ppv.

PWInsider.com has confirmed with multiple sources in the PPV industry that a Global Force Wrestling PPV event is on carriers' schedules for 1/4/15. Of course, 1/4 is the date of what has been the biggest Japanese event of the year for seemingly forever, the annual New Japan Pro Wrestling Tokyo Dome event.

It would appear that Jarrett's company has brokered a deal to bring the Tokyo Dome show to United States PPV for the first time. Sources indicate that the deal and all marketing for the PPV would be branded GFW, not New Japan.

Jarrett, who announced plans to launch GFW the day after Wrestlemania 30, was revealed as a member of the Bullet Club faction in NJPW recently. Jarrett departed TNA in December 2013, although he remains a minority owner in the company.

When this afternoon via telephone, Jarrett declined to comment on this story.

That's honestly a really good idea, since they can make money off the show without having to produce their own content. Hell, even if GFW doesn't do an original show, if all they do is import New Japan and AAA, I'll be happy, since I've been wanting someone to do that for years.

I'm definitely excited about this.

New Japan has been on fire the last two years. Hopefully this helps reach those who are unfamiliar or those who hate Japanese commentary.

Yeah, so they don't even need to convince him to do it. If the people in charge of introducing NJPW to American audiences have a single brain cell in their head, they'll take JR up on his interest to commentate for them. Not only is he argueably the best play-by-play guy in wrestling history, it gives the promotion instant credibility to those unfamiliar with the product.

Seriously, this is a no brainer.

My impression is they will broadcast either New Japan promotional videos and/or current New Japan shows on the Global Force Wrestling web site to build the Dome show, since they don’t have any television support. The show will be called Global Force Wrestling presents New Japan Wrestle Kingdom from the Tokyo Dome. From the cable distributors side they want a $24.95 price tag, but New Japan charged $35 last year for the Dome on iPPV, so the price, not yet finalized, will fall somewhere in that range. I expect the PPV deal to be announced at the Sumo Hall show.

The plan is for both a live showing, which would be on Saturday night right after what looks to be UFC’s biggest show of the year ends (Jon Jones vs. Daniel Cormier; Ronda Rousey vs. Cat Zingano double main event), and a replay at 8 p.m. on Sunday in the usual pro wrestling PPV time slot. It will be available on iPPV in both English and Japanese. It may be available in multiple languages on regular PPV as well. There’s still nothing on the potential broadcasting of the 10/13 show, past that there have been talks involving Jim Ross, but no deal has been reached.

I had a feeling that GFW was gonna be some sort of NWA type of promotion that just stuck thier name to a promotion to give it prestiege. Jeff took it global and signed some of the top promotions around the world but has yet to sign any talent to GFW deal. Maybe at this show the bullet club all anounce that they are with GFW and we get the first group on th roster. If they just continue to promote forign shows in the US then they could do one hell of cross promotion show for the Global Force Cup (or somthin like that). Realy seems interesting what they could do.
