Just watched the Zangief video and I knew they were going to knock him down. So, now, in this game full off characters that zip around like Sonic, Zangief crawls towards them. His original speed was fine. He wasn't fast but he moved just fast enough to actually be useable.

Then the video said "We made this move weaker...and this move...and this move has less priority." Because we all know how insanely easy it is to play and win as Zangief, right? He totally needed to be less good.

Improving the SPD strength is like wrecking someones car with a huge sledgehammer and saying "Hey, at least I changed your tires. That's an important part of the car!". Yeah, but now my car barely functions. What good are new tires if my car can hardly move?

Gief is a grappler. He should be slower. Besides, with distance on some of his normals and the quickness of Banishing Fist, he can still get in alright.

I know he should be slow but his speed was spot on before the 2013 update. Banishing fist may be quick but pretty much every move cancels it.

I can handle moves being weaker, really. It just gives me more time to throw people around. It's the the slowing down I don't like. It can already be tricky catching people but now they feel the need to make it even trickier.

Either slow him down and make the pay off better when I do catch someone by making me do more damage or keep his speed the same as pre-update and have me do less damage. Either of those, I'd be fine with.

Gief was made slow because his burning hand and certain normals were very fucking good. Either they nerf burning hand and his normals or they adjust his walk speed and touch one normal. Looks like a good deal.

And you set up his gems a certain way, you can buff his walk speed anyway, and make his SPD even more powerful.

Cammy got the nerf stick and I'm already thinking of ways around it.

I'm at a relatives for a few days with just my Wii U for entertainment. No SFxT. Am I missing anything?

I have been playing SFII Turbo on a 50 inch HD tv, though. So that's fun.

- Christie is much better with an anti-air and fireball dodges.
- Got to C+, and now have more BP than all of you. It's been a long hard road full of salt and rage.

My brain similarly shuts off against jumps with Ken of all people.

I thought my Cammy would be a train wreck without her jump cancel shenanigans but she seems to be trucking along.

Our team match with Vega/Jin was hilarious in that you were pulling the heavy load while I literally came in just to punch punch punch super and leave.

Got the character pack since it was finally on sale for a little bit. Unfortunately, since I'm commuting for work, I'm in town with my 360 for only a few days a week, so I won't beable to play much right now. But I'd like to get in with you guys.

Too bad Bison continues to underwhelm me in this game. His stomp seems slow and terrible.

Bison has nice pokes with his kicks. His stomp is better used to set up the flying punch thing. I seen you online but didn't wanna bother you since you were setting things up.

The tracking on it is terrible, and it's slow to get to the target. I definitely notice a difference between him in this and him in SSFIV (haven't played 2012). I am quite surprised they nerfed him more than they buffed him, according to the change video. His pokes will always be good, but I'm not sure charge characters have any advantage in this game.

I dunno, SRK forum for him seems more high than low on him. I'll just have to play him way differently than I have before if I want to keep using him.

And any Lei skill that I had from Tekken is lost on this version. I didn't spend a ton of time with him or anything, but that's not a good starting point for me in this game. I've basically forgotten anything I learned from the small amount of time I played it when it came out, so I just need to start fresh.

I use vega and blanks. I haven't even really explored any combos with them yet, and I still win more than I lose. If I take them into training they could get really lethal.

I think Blanka and Vega are definitely the best of the chargers. Blanka's mix-up game is so damn good.
