Backlash and Payback, sounds like they're trying to eat their cake and have it too.

I don't really have much to add. I did like Armageddon as a December PPV, but I feel that Starrcade would have a "bigger" feel to it. That's why I think those two should close out the year. Roadblock is allegedly moving to December. I guess the thinking there is that it's the last stop before the Road to WrestleMania, but I think it works better as a February PPV. I just associate Backlash with April. It should be there. Unforgiven can follow SummerSlam -- it's basically got the same sort of vibe.
I don't really like Night of Champions or Clash of Champions as a PPV in 2016 and onwards. With 7+ match slots and only maybe four or five championships per brand, it doesn't really make sense to have "every title is defended" shows. I guess you could run Night of Champions specials on WWE Network that featured just four title matches per brand (maybe five if they institute a Cruiserweight Title or Titles on one or both of the shows). Give it a prestigious feel and do hype videos for each championship beforehand. I hate the "not every match is a title match" thing they do these days. Then why not call it WWE Banana Hammock Havoc for crying out loud? |

Hell in a Cell and TLC need to go as PPV themes too. That's where you can easily slip No Mercy and Armageddon and no one will blink an eye.

I kinda glanced over it but if that pic doesn't say Backlash is on the 15th Anniversary of 9/11, I'll eat my favorite freaking WWE hat.
Seriously, what? They couldn't choose the 4th? I wonder how that choice of date will, if at all, affect buyrates. |

Who gives a fuck? It's just a date. It's not a national holiday. Even if it was. They'd probably still have the ppv on it. They had Smackdown 2 days after 9/11. They don't fucking care.
