New Doctor Who
First look at the new Doctor Who! Matt Smith in costume with the new companion!
Picture have been out for a while but i was wondering what the rest of you Doctor Who fans thought... I have to say i like the new costume a lot. Fashion aside i can't wait for the series seeing as Russell T Davies is being replaced by Steven Moffatt, who, in my opinion, has written nearly all the best episodes of the show since it came back on air. Roll on Spring 2010. |

And the redhead looks rather yummy as well.
Anyways. I've always preferred Moffat to Davies. If he ain't pushing some homosexual agenda, Davies is peddling hyperbole. Moffat, on the other hand, has always produced the best episodes, such as "Blink." When are these other specials with Tenannt, appearing? |

End of December for last episodes from what I understand.
As for the new doctor, I will happily give him a chance. I've only seen the reboot of Doctor Who, so really only experienced 2 Doctors. 1st Doctor I was really into by end of Series 1, and then Tennant came along and I don't know anyone who isn't in love with him. Will it be a rough change, yes. I imagine that's what has happened in the past with other Doctors. Can't expect the exact same thing or show, and if you are looking for that I think you'll be disapointed especially since it's a new era |

Tennant was great as The Doctor, even at times when he was working with a rubbish script. And unfortunately there was a lot more rubbish scripts than good scripts during the RTD era.
I'd say that Matt Smith is a very lucky boy being the Doctor during Steven Moffats run, because , fingers crossed, he won't have to worry about shite storylines. |

Don't like the new doctor who episodes anyhow. currently watching some really old ones from the 60's online, so much better, amazingly.

They're certainly a hell of a lot more slowly paced. And cheaper looking. |

I enjoy the stories more though. Feels more tense where as these days its rushed. 'Better' is just a matter of opinion. Lets just say 'i prefer them' instead. But i'm not sure they would fit these days.

Tennant was a high point for Doctor Who, it will be interesting to see how it goes from here. I have a feeling that the stories might be a little better but the acting not quite as good. Will be watching though and hopefully we will get some more quality television.

That guy who is playing the new Dr, he used to live and go to the Boys school in my town.
As fuckin lame as that sounds, I prob won't be able to say that about any other celeb again. |

Derren Brown does not scare me, I don't watch Channel 4, Channel 4+1, E4, E4+1, More4, More4+1, ITV4, ITV4+1, Sky Sports 4 or any other channel with '4' in it so his powers can't reach me. His powers stop outside the number 4. I know his game.

The Water on Mars special was rather good, The Doctor has taken a darker turn.
Bloody good episode. |

Most suprising heel turn since Hogan...although it was short lived. Took me by complete surprise.

I get the impression this Christmas special will be another dose of RTD hyperbole.
But "The Water on mars" was pretty good. I want more "bad" Doctor. |

Waters of Mars was pretty fucking good.
Looking forward to the Christmas specials, but probably looking forward to seeing more Moffatt episodes more. Still uneasy about the new Doctor though. |

Not seen any filming around here, so means probably no Torchwood cross over in the new series, which given what happened at the end of Children of Earth, probably makes sense.

After watching the first episode of the new Dr Who, I have to say I think it has got its mojo back.
That, or the attractive red-headed lass with the sexy scottish accent is currently clouding my judgment. |

Anyone who ever doubted Matt Smith's ability to play the role will now hopefully be eating their words.
Karen Gillan was great as well. Some excellent casting there. |
