Is it me or are they trying to make it a bit more "edgy", if that would be the right word to use. Definitely had a different feel to the previous seasons.
The music still sucks, tho. |

Loved it. Didn't even think about it being a new Doctor until after the episode. He was just brilliant as the Doctor, don't see many people complaining after this episode. Looks like a fun season.

We ain't getting it here in the States for another couple weeks. But judging from the previews I've been seeing, EVdI seems to be right on. More edgy and serious. Doesn't seem to be uppity and caffeine loaded like Tennant's character was. Which I loved.

Finally just finished watching End Of Time and I must say that it was freaking great! Also watched a few of the specials over the weekend and thought they were pretty good too like the Waters Of Mars it was well done. I'm really gonna miss Tennant though he is a great actor probly the best since Colin Baker it will be interesting to see which direction they go from here.

As much as I love David as the Doctor, I think it was a good time to leave. Looking forward to the new fresh Doctor. Gave David a good send off to his story, and now we get to go for a new ride.
Also like the look of Tardis these days. |

Loved the first episode with Matt Smith as The Doctor, halfway through I thought - yup that's The Doctor.
Two thumbs up from me. |

Just saw this episode last night and I'm loving this doctor. I missed out on most of Tennet's run, just couldn't find the time to watch I guess, so this is a fresh start for me. I really really loved how mad and insane he was to begin with then after he settled down, developed his own...twist to being the Doctor. Matt Smith definitly brought something very new the table and I for one love it. Also, forgive me if this has been brought up but the pinball effect to get to the nurse who worked in the Coma ward....is that a new power? If it is I love it.
I can't wait for more...and the Companion for this series is HOTNESS! |

The missus turned in an episode. She was adamant that she wouldn't like him because she was ultra pro-Tennant.

If there was something we should have all known before this season, due his past quality work in the series, it was not to doubt The Moffat.

Alright guys I saw the series 5 premier last night and I must saw I rather enjoyed it but I'm not so confident on what is to come going by the previews. I'm really getting the impression that there trying to appeal to a younger audience which isn't necesserily a bad thing as I rather like the Doctor's new companion. Smith seems to be very competent in the role and I can already say that I prefer him over a few of his predecessors.

So I caught "The End of Time" last night BBC America. Holding back some major tears, but I got a primer on what I'm gonna expect when the season kicks off next week.
Question to our british friends. Did you keep Tim Dalton on ice or locked away something? Was totally not expecting him to walk onto the set and take up a role. |

The 2nd episode aired here in Canada last night and I tought it was pretty good the writing quality appears to be on the same level. Did anyone catch that white tear in the ship right at the end of the show? I'm sure it had some significance that will be part of a broader story arc yet to come.

Second episode was pretty good. I think it's a bit early to bring the Daleks in on Ep. 3 but oh well. We'll see how it is.

That scene when Amy was trapped in the pod, looking at the monitor with the weeping angel on it, was great. Creepy as fuck.

I missed the 2nd episode when it aired so I went back to watch it the other day. What a great episode.
My g/f watched the "Angels" episode with me on Sunday, she got pretty into it considering she really "doesn't like Dr Who". |

I've now caught up and must say I was a little disappointed in the 3rd episode particularly in the conclusion at least to some degree. That of course being the return of the new Mighty Morphing Power Daleks but at least there back I suppose wouldn't be the same without them. The following 2 parter was better than what I expected after seeing the previews for it heh so know we know why the Tardis makes that patented sound.

Yeah Dalek episode was def the weakest of them so far. Little sick of Daleks lately, and all the other ones they use all the time. Can't we go like one season without them maybe. Think they are used way to much.

I liked this weeks ep
I didn't think I would like this Doctor but hes grown on me rather quickly particularly the fact that hes more prone to anger and his "I'm about to seriously kick your asses" theme music Amy is adorable and has proven to be an extremely useful companion thus far |

Yeah watched second angels episode and he has really made an enjoyable and interesting 'Doctor' that hasn't taken long to get board with. Was laughing my head off just at a line from the preview of the next episode with the Vampires. Series is actually shaping up really well and the only thing I wasn't really a fan of was the Daleks.

Not entirely liking Pond's boyfriend, just something about him. Which makes me sad that he is going to be on a few more adventures with them!
