Reading the first couple of pages of this thread, how come y`all are saying that the women's match was bad... weird... Seemed really entertaining to me...

It was probably the 2nd best match other than the main.

Just realized AJ winning the title means he will lose the title to John Cena to tie Ric Flair.

I don't hate Alexa Bliss, I just think her wrestling fucking sucks. She is hot as fuck and I've positive repped everyone sharing awesome imagery of her in here, but she fucking clunks around the ring. She'd be an awesome manager/valet. If she can lift her Harley Quinn-esque style and put it with a Joker type, we'd have a good combo. But I don't particularly look forward to anything she does in there.
That being said, the women's match was a lot of fun. It wasn't great, but it was a lot of fun, and Becky Lynch winning gives me warm feelings. Kudos to Bliss being produced and guided really well in that match. Maybe she will grow into a great performer? I hope she does, because she's got the star look and there are times when she radiates that. There's also times where she looks like a high school girl trying to act. |

Weird booking in the tag division. I'm kind of happy that Heath Slater & Rhyno got a moment, but it's certainly...weird. It doesn't have much base. I imagine that The Usos will win the belts from them very soon. The crowd seem to love Slater, and I guess giving the people feel-good moments will keep them coming back. I was listening to Dutch Mantel talking about booking Puerto Rico, and he said he'd usually just put the babyfaces over in big matches, because people like to see it. You can't really feel too bad about Heath Slater & Rhyno's sentimental title win; nor Becky Lynch's.
SmackDown didn't really "get cute" too often on this show. Orton giving Wyatt the RKO was a bit fucking annoying, but again, the crowd popped, and it might lead to Wyatt beating Orton at No Mercy, since Orton got some sort of moment here. The Kane mark in me wants to find joy in him still winning PPV matches in 2016. It was surreal as hell hearing "Let's go Miz" chants during his match with Dolph Ziggler. They really need to do something to freshen Ziggler up. I know the general consensus is that he is going to turn heel in coming weeks, but it's been fairly telegraphed and I wonder if it is going to have the impact it needs to in order to get Dolph back on the grid in a meaningful way. All the possibilities for Dolph are starting to feel like they are drying up. I'm tempted to suggest he heads down to NXT and has a heel run with the NXT Title down there so Shinsuke Nakamura can come up and be a breath of fresh air. AJ Styles winning the WWE World Title is surreal in itself too. I'm really happy for the guy, and he seems a good fit for the belt. It really feels like he has "earned" it. There's this wonderful feeling when the best wrestler in the world holds the World Title, and it happens surprisingly rarely. I would have loved to have seen more Shawn Michaels runs during his comeback years, because I think it would have made wrestling healthier overall. Styles feels like a shoe-in for PWI's #1 next listing. The crowd was fairly anti-Ambrose, which is weird, because they've never been that way before. This was definitely the time and the place to take the belt off Ambrose. If he had retained, the crowd reactions would steepen from here. It just feels right to move it over to Styles though, so good on Ambrose for graciously going down. I'm not as...excited for AJ Styles vs. John Cena III as I could be. I think they've set it up well, but there's a part of me that worries it is a vehicle for Cena to win the belt from Styles, which would fit the narrative, but is kind of pedestrian. I'd like a shock in their third encounter -- whether that be Styles forcing John Cena to submit or them doing some sort of double-turn, where Cena cheats to win the belt from Styles, leading to Styles winning the 2017 Royal Rumble and beating Cena at WrestleMania. |

I wouldn't mind seeing Alexa Bliss join up with either Baron Corbin or Mojo Rawley. I know that Corbin is "The Lone Wolf," but they've both got that alpha male jock thing going on. That's a perfect gimmick to go with fucking the bitchy high school girl that Bliss plays.

3X NWA World Heavyweight Champion
2X TNA World Heavyweight Champion 2X IWGP World Heavyweight Champion 1X WWE World Heavyweight Champion Pretty incredible career he's had. And the last time he held the TNA World Heavyweight Championship he actually took it to Mexico and Japan and defended it. Really liked his exit from TNA. |

I don't think anyone is beating Angle for most different world titles held:
IWGP Heavyweight Championship TNA World Heavyweight Championship (6 times) WWF/E Championship (4 times) World Heavyweight Championship WCW Championship |

I thought Backlash was pretty decent overall.
• The Women's Championship match was actually pretty good, even though around 85% of the match was just women getting thrown out of the ring. Alexa Bliss has really been growing on me since the draft and I feel that she was the stand out wrestler from that match, and I'm adding her to my "Future big players in the Women's Division" list, that currently consists of Nia Jax and Dana Brooke. I'm a fan of all three of these women. However, I really feel like she didn't deserve to be the first eliminated. The match was pretty good, that was up until the eliminations. I have no idea how Carmella managed to be the last eliminated though. She's just really really really bad. She's like "The New Era's" Kelly Kelly in that she's absolutely shit, but Vince & Co. are blind to it and keep pushing her. Also, where's the love for Natalya? She's most probably the best female wrestler the WWE has at the moment, but yet all she's achieved in her eight years with the company is a two month reign as Divas Champion. I feel she deserves so much more than that. Why not take the title from Becky Lynch in the future and have a long heel run with the title. That would be good. Also, finally on the women's match. I noticed that whoever scored the elimination, would be the next to be eliminated. Alexa Bliss was eliminated by Naomi Naomi was then eliminated by Natalya Natalya was then eliminated by Nikki Bella Nikki Bella was then eliminated by Carmella Carmella was then eliminated by Becky Lynch • I like that The Usos are heels now but the "We're bad now so we don't smile and we wear all black because black is bad" thing is a bit "meh". Hopefully they get some proper ring attire in the future. I do however feel that the Usos turning heel is what SmackDown's Tag Team Division needed. Now the division has a legit heel team, whereas before, it lacked one. All it had was The Ascension, Breezango and The Vaudevillains. Two jobber teams and a comedy team. As for The Hype Bros., I'm not really feeling it. I feel both could be so much better as singles competitors. Keep Zack Ryder around the Intercontinental Championship and have Mojo be sort of the "New Ryback", either heel or face. Just seeing him bulldoze into The Usos was pretty cool and along with his size and speed, I feel he could make a success of a singles run. • Ziggler/Miz was the match of the night in my opinion, and I feel that maybe they were given more time as the Bray/Orton match was canceled. It also looks like that they've decided to continue this Miz/Bryan angle too, which is good. I'm interested, and Miz has been so good lately. • Bray/Kane was what I expected (in that I expected Kane to be the replacement) but I didn't expect Kane to win. I actually legitimately had a wee short laugh when Kane got the three count, but the match actually turned out to be a decent one. I enjoyed it anyway. • Usos/Slater & Rhyno was fantastic. I don't think I've ever wanted a tag team to win so badly in my life. I was actually celebrating when they won. Slater has been nothing but top notch entertainment for so long now, and becoming one half of the first ever SmackDown Tag Team Champions was a great way to top everything off. On to Rhyno, and the guy has also been so good since returning to the main roster. I've always liked Rhyno, and seeing a veteran like him return to the main roster and be involved in a good and entertaining storyline and winning titles just makes me happy. That's the kind of thing I want to see when former talent returns. I want to see them be involved in angles, or win a few matches or a title or two. Not return to the main roster only to job to every single person they face, like Jinder has been doing and what I feel Hawkins will be doing too when he returns. • Styles/Ambrose was really good. For years now, dating back to around 2002/3, I always thought that AJ Styles would never be in the WWE, but here we are, it's 2016 and he's now the WWE Champion. Life is crazy. In the beginning (2002/3), I really didn't like Styles at all. The internet was loving him but I hated him. 13/14 year old me thought he was overrated and just "flipped about a lot". Now though, I can say that I don't hate him. I can actually see why he had a lot of fans back in the day. He is good and is nowhere near as bad as teenage me thought. With this win though, I feel that once Ambrose gets his rematch and loses, we'll see the return of Cena, who will then chase the title. We'll probably see Cena/Styles for the title at either Royal Rumble or, if not there, then WrestleMania, where Cena will win and tie Flair's record of 16 World Championships. Although I wouldn't like Cena to beat Flair's record, him tying it would be ok....I guess. Beating Styles to do it would be cool though and if that were to happen, it means we all have a long AJ Styles WWE Championship reign to look forward to, and that sounds pretty good. |

In defense of The Usos' gear, they probably didn't find out they were turning heel until twenty minutes before the show last week.

I'm sorry, whom and whom now? Also, back then the belts were called the WWE Tag Team Championships when the titles were exclusive to SD!, some 9-10 years before the then Unified WWE Tag Team Championship belts were converted into the company-wide WWE Tag Team Championship belts that fans now know for their looks which are similar to a giant prop penny.

Last time there were SmackDown-exclusive Tag Team Titles created, they were won by Chris Benoit & Kurt Angle. Their contemporaries in the new era are Heath Slater & Rhyno.

I'm actually glad that Rhyno finally won a tag belt years and years after failing to do so with his makeshift teams with Benoit and Tajiri.

Weird. For some reason I actually thought Rhyno and Tajiri had a tiny run with the belts. I have no clue why I have confused myself on that.
