Wyatts vs. Decay
For those of you who watch TNA, do you see Decay as a much more focused, creative, and better realized faction than the Wyatts? It's not just about booking either. Abyss is a TNA lifer and was a borderline joke, and Crazzy Steve was a joke, but, with Rosemary, I feel they have created an entity that is entertaining, well written, and well performed, and they stand 8n stark contrast to the repetitive, uninspired and, frankly, bland Wyatt gimmick. What say you?

I like both. Decay is better from a group standpoint I think though. It's been the best use of Abyss in a long time. Crazy Steve sucked during the Menagerie as did that gimmick but he seems more invested in the Decay character.
Decay really came around at the right time as TNAs tag division was literally decaying. The Wolves have dropped the belts a couple of times due to injury, The Hardys had to give them up after Jeff broke his leg, and teams like Beer Money and Bad Influence left. So Decay coming in a taking the tag titles just worked out right to me. Rosemary holds the group together but the thing with Bram was weird and didn't go anywhere. Think Broken Matt Hardy is the perfect feud for them. As for the Wyatts I like the as well but it's mostly just Bray. Even when Rowan or Harper talkit feels like a Bray Wyatt promo that was given to one of them. It works bbecause Bray is this cult leader type but I would like to see more personality from the others. |

It's hard to get into an angle that features Abyss in 2016. I haven't heard much about Crazzy Steve, but I do like his look. I think psychotic clowns have a place in professional wrestling. They seem to have crossed some sort of threshold where people take them seriously and they are having a nice run with the tag belts. If TNA mattered a bit more, their run might matter a bit more.

Edited a segment once for a local federation where Crazy Steve bit some dude with a "Sargent" character on the ass....... cool that he has "made it"........ Not that I have watched any of him......
I saw that Abyss doesn't even wear a mask anymore.... seems like that was "his thing"..... don't know why they would get rid of it...... Anyways, I have no real business in this thread seeing as how I do not watch TNA......... |

Abyss wears face paint now and is beautiful so the mask hides his beauty. Reall the best thing Abyss has done in a while.

It would have to be the best thing he's done in a long time by default, wouldn't it? When was the last time Abyss did anything truly good?

I'd say back when he introduced Janice in 2010 and Imortal. Didn't like any of the Joseph Parks stuff and The Revolution just fell flat.

I like the Wyatts more but I wish they were as focused as Decay is not taking anything away from them I like Steve and Rosemary Abyss I can take or leave
Bray and Co are much much better at congering a sense of dread but the follow through always sucks. I really wish I knew why Bray isn't the near unstoppable force he should be (cuts awesome promos can really, really go and then he jobs and picks a new target) I just wish I knew what creative and management are thinking. Luke Harper is fucking awesome as far as gimmick goes true its not too far removed from Wyatt but where Bray a possessed cult leader,Harper comes across like a a psycho killer on the mic and in the ring just really fucking talented. Eric Rowan oh man, there is potential there but to say its untapped is an understatement (still think he is gonna be the one benifitting the least if the Wyatts ever truly dissolve) Then again I thought that about Seth Rollins. Kinda like how for a while Big E had a charisma and charm on twitter that we didn't see on tv for a while, Rowan seems to play the Wyatt gimmick to the hilt online but he is given very few opportunities to engage the audience. All that said at the same time it makes sense and works that we know next to nothing about Harper or Rowan |

All I've seen of Decay was the insanity that was Decay vs Delete (or vice versa, can't be bothered to look it up), so like others in this thread I can't really comment on them.
When it comes to the Wyatts, it's the same old broken record analysis - Bad booking. The talent is there big time. I find all 3 to be great. Bray has had some of the best promos in the WWE since his debut as Bray Wyatt. After Lesnar broke the streak they had absolutely no business sticking Bray in a match against Taker at the next Wrestlemania. We knew Taker wasn't losing back to back, and feeding him Bray really hurt him. I don't think the streak should have ended, but as everybody always said, if it did end it should have been to give a young guy the rub. Brock of course is one of the elite, but between his massacre of the top guys like Cena, Orton, and basically everybody else, he did not need the rub. It would have done wonders for Bray. The Wyatt family doesn't even need much changing, maybe just an extremely tiny tweek or two if anything. They have the look, the in ring talent, the ability to cut great promos, the ability to get over with the fans. Even their music and entrance is great. It's just one of those sad cases of WWE not knowing how to book them, and just when it seems like they're getting it right, they ruin it. Bray should have been the WWE Champion, and Rowan and Harper should have been made one of the dominant tag teams. There's still plenty of time to give the Wyatt Family (or at least Bray for that matter) the push that they deserve, they just simply have to book it. |

I enjoyed Joseph Parks way more than I should have. It was campy, but the idea that Abyss was that fucking crazy was somewhat hilarious. He did a good job with that, but I can't objectively call it "good."

Bray Wyatt should have gone over The Undertaker at WrestleMania 31, most definitely. I can understand the case for him going over John Cena at WrestleMania XXX too. So great on the mic and not a bad worker, if not really a wonderful wrestler, if you know what I mean? I actually really enjoyed a match he had with Ryback, which is unusual for a Ryback match.
Luke Harper is tremendous. So fucking captivating when he does what he does. I'd be fine with him winning the World Title with Bray as his manager. But he and Rowan should have beaten The Usos for the Tag Titles back in 2014 when they had that great series of matches. I can't believe The Outlaws got a run in 2014 but Harper & Rowan didn't. Erick Rowan is the least inspiring of the three. I feel sorry that his face push came at the same time as Ryback and Dolph were being pushed as faces doing pretty much the same thing. They really tried to put more into his character, but it's hard to feel sorry for a dude that size. He's settled into his role as the guy who takes the beatings for Bray, but that's not a bad gig. There's something more "innocent" about the Rowan character, which makes him sort of endearing in that "he's the least evil one" sort of way. I used to love the way Harper would slap him around in their tag matches. |

I would really like to see Harper & Rowan in SmackDown's tag division. Could you imagine them mixing it up with American Alpha?
