That was actually hilarious, even if the ending was slightly telegraphed with Sheamus stepping over the top rope for no apparent reason.

Not only does Henry win, but us fans win. We don't have to have a boring World Champion

Fun match. Loved that top rope World's Strongest Slam.
Wouldn't be totally shocked if Bryan cashes in right after the TLC match, if only to ensure that Henry can be in the Rumble and throw people out left and right. |

But still the match did serve it's purpose, making Bryan seem like a legit threat.

More or less. With the exception of the ankle stomping and the ankle lock, it was a glorified squash, and it was perfect.
Now it gives DB some motivation for a character, since he's the guy who couldn't beat the champ despite the champ being seriously injured. Let DB become bitter and angry. Also, who the fuck planned DB's little segment before the match? Whoever that was should be fucking fired. On Monday, you have DB get angry, show some emotion, and come across as an angry guy who might actually be able to pull this off... Cut to before the match, we're back top DB smiling like an idiot with no personality. |

I liked the cage match. Randy Orton lost to Henry clean didnt he? Meanwhile, DB did all he could and lost clean. The only person that almost beat him was Big Show.
Which makes the title worth something more than a three month rotation title. Mark needs to hold that thing until Royal Rumble at least. I don't see why the hatred for this show. Rhodes had a good promo to open, orton had a fun match (not good but fun), the hornswoggle ending to the battle royal was hilarious, and the main event was a good match. Did it move along storylines.....eh...... But still fun

The main event was good for what it was worth. It continued to make Mark Henry look like an unstoppable champion even when "injured" and gives Bryan the opportunity to use the loss as a step to redeem himself when he cashes in the briefcase. I don't see how this was looked at as a squash match? Why all the hate on Daniel Bryan as of late?

Some are just haters. Always will be no matter what.
Main Event played out perfect. Built Henry as a monster even more, made Bryan a threat for when he does decide to cash in MITB. I would like to see more of the intense Bryan personality he showed last night on Raw. That will be the guy fans get behind. Rhodes/Booker at PPV should be fun as well. Orton/Barrett is also shaping up to be a damn fine PPV match. |

Live Notes from Smackdown
-Daniel Bryan’s reaction wasn’t very positive, at least at first. When they showed his picture on the Titantron you had some cheers (not very loud) and a trail of booos. Even some kids were boo’ing him His entrance for the main event had a minimal reaction (less than Kofi Kingston). During the match, some Daniel Bryan cheers were started (even if small). Not sure if his lack of TV time or his blunder last week had anything to do with it. But hey, I'm just trolling right? |

Only 3 pages for a live show, lol. From what i've read seemed just as shit as i feared when i saw they were doing a fucking christmas show when its not even december or the holidays yet. Way to waste a live smackdown.

SmackDown was alright last night, but not great.
The majorty of the stuff on SmackDown felt a bit out of place though. Mostly because it was celebrating Christmas in November but it seemed that was just an excuse to have a live episode of SmackDown. The crowd wasn't that great either. They were always quiet and it felt like they were booing or just not interested in anything that wasn't Randy Orton or Sheamus. The Battle Royal was pretty much a waste of time. As soon as Hornswoggle came out I knew he'd win. Though I will say that I'll take that back if Hornswoggle can still talk next time we see him, but a part of me doubts that will happen. The main event was good, the ending was great, but for a Cage Match, it was pretty "meh". For example, the cage hardly came into play. The door only got opened once and only two escape attempts over the top were made. Then again, I was slowly falling asleep during the main event as it was nearly 3am here, so maybe I missed some stuff. But overall, it was a decent SmackDown, but not great. Especially for a live episode. |

Well let's just hope that in the next few months, the writers will give Daniel more so that those who don't care for him start to care.

Smackdown rating was down from previous live Smackdown's. That's what happens when Daniel Bryan is in the main event. He's killing the company.

WWE’s live Super SmackDown show on Tuesday night did a 2.00 (2.0) cable rating, which is up from the previous three Friday taped episodes. So what if the last time Smackdown was live it was a higher rating...it went up from the previous three shows.
