Aces and Eights TNA Storyline
What are your guys thoughts on it? It reminds me of the original NWO angle in WCW to be honest. The whole gang mentality and the dont know whats gonna happen next. Plus Hogan getting beat up and in one segment is not a bad thing.

It's screaming nWo all over, my thoughts exactly. I don't see why they need to put Hogan and Sting in any time slot involving physicality. I'll wait it out and see who the mystery guys are though. nWo was the shit to me back then.

I read that Chris Masters may be one of the guys. He's actually really solid now as a pro wrestler, his work in India while basic, was very effective.

the worst thing you can do is compare it to the nWo. nothing will ever compare to the nWo. it was THE perfect angle and it will never be duplicated. just let this be it's own thing.
or don't. what do I know? I'm not even here. |

NWO was good but it was the only bullet WCW had in its proverbial gun
but TNAs gang is intresting without comparing the two. |

Watched for the first time in months last night. I was very confused by the AJ Styles storyline and the Aces and 8's thing. I just chalked it up to "being TNA".

How many of these stupid evil nWo-lite factions can TNA run in the history of their company?
Lets start with... Sports Entertainment Xtreme or S.E.X. Kings of Wrestling Main Event Mafia Immortal I'm sure I am forgetting some as well. |

The Aces and Eights thing is getting interesting, to tell the truth. I wonder who's all in it? Sting and Hogan are most likely the first ones to be attacked, but who would be next in their hit list?

I had no idea about this. Then I googled the name.
Fucking cool name with a nice backstory with Wild Bill and all. Will wait to say anymore. But hey, TNA, Not bad. Good start. |

Aces and 8s storyline aside suprisingly TNA has been the more watchabe of the two main companies as of late last mondays RAW seems to be turning into a god-awful variety hour while I was able to watch TNA and see wrestling and I fear that RAW adding an hr will just be an excuse to add more of their bad sketch comedy
Quick question does anyone know why they dont just go by dead mans hand? Sounds a bit cooler Last edited by KIRA; 07-13-2012 at 05:24 PM. |

They first three, assuming they are all playing themselves and not using stand ins were large men.
Masters and smith fit, not Chaco. In the newest attack one has very long hair. Looked like palumbo but not.... |

Luke Gallows is another guy that TNA would benefit from signing. He's a solid big man and really young.

Lemmy is too badass to be accociated with TNA. I liked it when it was just the three guys. They could have did something where it was three former TNA stars pissed that Sting is getting all the attention. It could be three physically imposing wrestlers looking to make an impact (no pun intended) by taking out the top guy, and they can have James Mitchell as a mouth piece (pretty much rip off the Brock return) Now that like 15 guys came out and attacked this week.... that kinda confused me

Im all for them "invading" 8 deep. Going after the two biggest names in TNA.
Im fine with it being a mix of a few names, and some new faces. |

What's Scott Norton up to these days? I hope it's Scott Norton. I loved how his singlet always looked like it was too small for him.

Now that they are more like 7-8 guys rather than 3, we can commence comparisons to Nexus rather than NwO.
