Kyle Williams may be injured after a blatantly illegal shot. Holy shit he got blasted.

Yes, a 15 yard penalty is more than sufficient for trying to murder Kyle Williams in cold blood.

Well technically I guess you only need 1 hand, but players usually revert to their training and go with 2.

There's no need to spear a guy on his knees. That's not big tough manly football. That's a cheap shot.

They're trained to tackle. If a guy is down and the whistle has blown, it's one thing. In the middle of a play if a guy goes down untouched and gets back up to his knees, fuck slowing down. |

Okay, it IS funny that Rex Ryan was making a "fat guy" face when Brandon Jacobs said that to him. Still hate Brandon Jacobs. |

I feel like Rex will be unable to do anything next week because of the diabetes he gets after Christmas dinner tomorrow.

I love the idea of Buddy, Rob and Rex celebrating Festivus. The Feats of Strength alone would be worth 40 dollars admission.

Assuming the Eagles win next week, they would also have the same record Oakland had last year as well. |

Adrian Peterson tore his ACL.
Me thinks Minnesota will be drafting a RB, as I would not expect him to play very much if at all in 2012.. Thats not to say that he wont come back and be productive, hell..Jamal Lewis missed 2001 with a torn ACL, came back in 2002 and went for 1300 yards and then in 2003 ran for over 2000. That was his 2nd torn acl too, since had torn one in college back in 1998. |

That has to feel shitty to likely lose a star player for NEXT year.
Like... it sucks enough to lose a player in the preseason but to go all off-season knowing your team is already in a huge whole with and injury? Fuck. |

Dunno, just depends on AP. Demaryius Thomas tore his ACL in something like March or April this year, and had he not broken his pinky in practice he'd have played in the season opener. Ditto fro Ryan Clady who tore his in the offseason the year before and started the whole season. I think AP probably ends up on the PUP list and comes back after week 6, can't see him missing all of next season

The Detroit Lions are going to the playoffs.
The Detroit Lions are going to the playoffs. The Detroit Lions are going to the playoffs. No matter how many times I type that sentence, it feels weird. |

If anyone is going to be "This year's Packers" I think it's going to be Detroit.
Powerhouse offense, a game against the winners of their division in week 17 with the chance to knock them out of the playoffs eventually as well. They CAN beat Green Bay the way both teams are playing right now. I wouldn't really be that surprised to see Detroit be the latest 5/6th seed to make it to the Super Bowl. Also, there have been something like 11 different NFC teams in the Super Bowl in the last 11 years. Either Detroit, SF or Dallas going would make it 12 in 12. |

Why was Mark Sanchez throwing the ball 59 times? What was Rex Ryan doing?

I don't know. It almost seemed like the need to say "Our QB outperformed your QB" was more important than winning the game. And in the end, neither was accomplished. Because Mark Sanchez is terrible.

Pumped for the game tomorrow night.. Pretty sure the Saints will roll the Falcunts..
Saints have only lost like 2 primetime games in the Dome since Sean Payton became our coach in 2006.. |

Well I hope they lose. We will probably keep our bye either way but it would be nice to rest our starters against the Rams.

I thought Dallas couldn't clinch the NFC East since the Giants beat the Jets unless it was just for a wild card spot in general regardless if they won or lost to Philly?

It was just confusing because of the situation. Usually when a team has nothing to play for in a game it means they're locked in or eliminated. Rarely does a team have "nothing to play for" in week 16 and then suddenly have a meaningful week 17 game. |
