Not horrible but not good either. The story kind of just muddles along, nothing is really memorable and the villains are half developed. The cast is good and hold the thing together and there are some good/emotional scenes. 5/10

Sinister Six and Venom are being fast tracked for features, with a possible Amazing 3 in between. |

I really fucking liked this movie. Prefer this trilogy (so far) over the original one, it's more fun.
Peter Parker/Spiderman is way better than the Toby Maguire one, funnier and more true to the comic book. Yeah, plot was kinda dumb, but I still had fun. But ugh, Green Goblin. Like that actor wasn't creepy enough without make-up. |

just watched both of these a few days ago. i'm with you all the way. i've enjoyed this series far more than the original. two felt like a bit of a drop from one, but i'd imagine three will be pretty bad ass. looking forward to it.

Watched this one a few days ago as well. The Electro stuff was decent, the Rhino stuff was pretty funny, and the Goblin/Osborne stuff was garbage.

I dont't think they are good as The Sam Raimi's Spider-Man.
However I do feel that these Spider-Man movies could be underrated. Needs a little more time till I can come to the official decision. |

Neither of the Amazings touched Raimi's Spidey 2, imo.

This.
That movie captured the atmosphere of the comic perfectly, where as the Amazing movies while fun, just feel like your every day CG fest superhero movie. The Raimi trilogy had a unique feel to it. These don't. Still good though. Spidey vs Doc Ock Tower/Train fight is still my favorite movie fight ever. |

I feel like the "Amazing" series has the better Spider-Man, and Raimi's series had the better Peter Parker, origin, villains....

I watched them both a few days ago too. The first one was better than I remembered, and I didn't hate the second one. The Electro stuff was really cheesy and not very well developed, but on the whole it was better than I was expecting. Not the worst superhero film I've watched this year anyway (Man of Steel)
