mmaturf.net is the only mma board I frequent.. It was a spin off of mmashare.. Some of the mods got sick of the shitfest that is mmashare and made a new board with the best members.. It still small but it growing all the time.. Plus they have all the vids that share has..

www.f4wonline.com It's the new merged Observer/F4W site.
www.betweentheropes.com Both boards are subscription only. For the audio content and the fact you both the Observer and Figure Four Daily online, it's worth the money for me. I'll probably subscribe to BTR too at some point. |

I try to weed through the crap on Sherdog and post, but I find that board to be like wrestling boards in the mid-late 90s, where everything comes down to WWE vs WCW or in this case Zuffa vs the world.
Thats it right now. I have been posting the odd thing here on the wrestling forum, because I have been watching RAW a little more. But I dont watch the PPVs or SD, so its tougher than back in the day. Nowadays I really only like places that talk about MMA. |

I had one of the coolest conversations last night. So my buddy Titus Campbell fought Ricco Rodriguez last night. Oh and it was his first pro fight ever! He actually did pretty good and could have beat him but he got caught in a sub.
Anyway on the way there and on the way back I was in the car with Gideon Ray. The whole time he was just sharring stories and experiences about everything, but the shit he said about the UFC and the Ultimate fighter were unreal. I dont have time right now to list all the stuff, but he had some awsome stories about the pranks that were pulled in the fighter house but then he has some serious horrer stories about the type of shit that the UFC pulls on people. One thing that was rediculous was Mikey Burnett actually broke his neck in practice and he was told after the show that the UFC would pay for his surgury, and after the show they told him they wouldnt, and gideon taked to him recently... two years after the show and he still has a broken neck and cant fight anymore. Apparently he has to hussle private sessions for people to learn fighting oand shit like that just to make a living. Ill put the other stuff later. |

Oh yeah and Mir was wrong about Herring "going the distance" with Fedor.. The fight was stopped at the end on the first (10:00 mins) due to a cut..

Hesitantly going with Huerta, going with Brock out of personal bias plus I think he's too much for Heath, going GSP as well. Fitch is amazing but I just can't see him pushing GSP more than anyone else SHOULD have.

I heard some of the stories about TUF4 and Mikey Burnett's injury. All I'm saying he this was the same dude getting drunk running head first into walls. That's both impressive and smart when you have a broken neck.
UFC Predictions - GSP, Herring (heart says Lesnar) and Florian. |

I think Florian, Herring, GSP.
I think they are all so unpredictable though. So pumped for Fitch/GSP. If GSP dominates here, he has to legitimately look towards Anderson Silva. And that is without a doubt the fight I'd most like to see right now. Any streams? I get Setanta Sept 21st. Happy day. |

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome first round.
You can definitely tell their in Minnesota. Wrestling towns appreciate the ground game more. If this was in Vegas the crowd would be booing. Last edited by HeartBreakMan2k; 08-09-2008 at 10:30 PM. |

Damn, Huerta has a jaw like no other but I just don't know if he was there tonight. Like, Kenflo seemed to impose his will. Little eye opening for me I suppose.
Huerta is going to be a big deal given some time though. |

I know jack shit about UFC, don't really have an interest in it but I had to go in the front and watch the Brock fight. Herring got fuuuucked up. I love how Brock seems to have some showman left in him

Lesnar looked much more poised than the last fight.. Pretty good stand up.. Punches looked very crisp and nice to see him throwing in leg kicks.. Dominant GnP even though he never shank in hooks while having Herring back..
He should grow a big gnarly beard.. |

Hes too big to be throwing hooks in, and herring would hae escaped the possition had he tried.

He did fine just riding his back.. The only thing that worried me was he never really tried to finish.. Awesome GnP and he remained in a dominant position like 98% of the fight, it's just he never really went for a sub or anything..

Yea Brock needs alota work on submission attempts.
Huerta didn't look himself but that's credit to Kenflo I suppose..I thought he had won the 1st round but couldn't do shit in the last 2. And GSP is still the man..Fitch is one tough sob he lasted all 5 rounds. He looks like a future champ in the division. |

Much respect to Fitch, Herring and MacDonald. All fucking warriors. Lesnar looked amazing aside from a severe lack of submission skills. Also answered a hell of a lot of questions. GSP and Penn has to happen now. There is nobody at 170lbs except Thiago Alves left really. Rob Emerson is now also one of my favourite fighters purely for knocking that greasy Armenian into next week.

Maybe it was just me but it looked like Brock tired out near the end of the fight, especially in the 3rd round

Yeah Rob I agree, Jon Fitch is the man even though he didn't win. The beating he took was not the worst by far but it still ranked up there
