Official Metal Thread
Hello posters of TPWW. I'm commonly known as "Bandit" over at ye ole rajah.com, but don't think for a second that I only registered here to pester the lot of you. Scrolling down the first page of this music forum, I notice some of you listen to quite decent music, therefore, I decided we compile all of our thoughts and words regarding the genre of metal (and any sub-genres of metal) in this here thread.
This thread is for any of the following:
I'll start. I just picked up "Voimasta Kunniasta" from Moonsorrow, completing my album collection from them. I've also picked up Shining - Within Deep Dark Chambers. Please, for the good of metal, discuss. |

I will look into increasing my Iron Maiden catalog when I have some money, and might look into Motorhead's Inferno and The Eyes of Alice Cooper.

The last 2 metal purchases I made were Hatebreeder by Children of Bodom and Abigail by King Diamond both in May. The last album I d/led was Megadeth's Youthanasia, early this morning.

Whoever asked about the nu-metal, you can talk about it, but just don't expect too many people to respond... |

I'm listening to Cradle Of Filth's latest song "Gilded Cunt"..... it rules. Also, I just discovered Dragonforce after asphyxy dropped their guitarist's name in another thread. Even though its power metal cheese, they rule.

Dragonforce's lyrics are cheesy as hell. But they're still one of the few power metal bands I actually like...

I just saw the video for "Every Time I Die" from Children of Bodom for the first time (I've heard the song many times though)
It's a cool video, and one of their better songs. +1 |

Blood Fire Death is my favorite as well.
I also listen to Self-Titled a lot. But in my opinion, I think all Bathory is good. So I'm biased. |

It's not one of my favorites, but I'll be completely honest and say I don't dislike it.

One of my "associates" is in contact with the guys of Vlad Tepes. He played me some of their unreleased stuff a while back. It's insanely raw sounding.

I've actually never listened to a whole lot of Megadeth. But I just heard their new song "Die Dead Enough", and I love it.
