This is just deeply upsetting. Only last night he was giving a speech and now he's dead? I can't believe he would commit suicide like that I mean why? Was he ill ? Did he not think of his family and the effect it would have on them? This is just totally bizarre and upsetting one of my heroes has died. Rip warrior.

I seriously can't believe this. Like I'm just sitting here in shock. I think not just The Ultimate Warrior died tonight, a large part of our childhoods also died. Thank you Warrior for making a 6 year old Kid jump up and down when you beat Hogan.

According to a report by TMZ, WWE Hall of Famer the Ultimate Warrior (Jim Hellwig) collapsed outside of an Arizona hotel on Tuesday at 5:50 p.m. while walking to a car with his wife. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

If they overlap his speech from raw over a video package of him I might lose it.. If you think about it, those words were deep.. Had some power behind them. Gonna be a sad tribute.. Rest in peace warrior.. I will never forget running around my room as a kid because I could feel the energy you brought through my tv.

Come home from work to this. Terrible.

Really glad/happy that Warrior got to at least have a last moment in the sun at the HoF/Mania/Raw.

If you were to tell me that one of this year's Hall of Fame inductees would be dead 3 days after the ceremony, I would have guessed that it would have been Jake.
R.I.P. Warrior, may you join the skeletons of Warrior's Past and you bestow the Power of the Warrior onto another one deemed worthy by the Gods. |

Totally shocking, did not see this one coming. Was never really a fan of his but loved his match with Savage at Wrestlemania VII. Another Icon gone.

wow, completely surprising. R.I.P.
Iron Sheik is claiming everything he said about him was a work. I wonder how true that is. Either way I guess it's good that he at least respects the dead. |

When I read he collapsed and died I immediately figured heart attack and that it sucked it didn't happen 24 hours earlier since I figure as awful as him collapsing live on RAW would have been, I'm pretty sure he would have gotten medical treatment fast enough to get through it like Lawler did.
Absolutely crazy though on the timing.. |

Was never really a fan, but damn, this has been an incredibly surreal week for WWE fans. He looked like he was prepared to drop dead any second when he came out on stage at Wrestlemania. So if this turned out to be heart-related or whatever it really wouldn't surprise me.
What a way to end one of the most memorable weeks in WWE history. R.I.P. |

This is a huge shock. I have a question, though...
Why was he even in an Arizona hotel? From what I understand he was in New Orleans for the shows and if I remember correctly he lives either in Arizona or in New Mexico...somewhere around here. (I'm in the Southwest, as well.) I guess someone might suggest he might have been vacationing but as I said...he lives out here. And he's LIVED out here for a while. When Zonies or other Southwesterners go on vacation, we go to California or Florida or Hawaii or some place with snow, because we never see it unless we live in the Northern part of the state(s). I'm sure the details will come out but this is all just really odd. The timing and the circumstances. Condolences to the family, obviously. I was a huge fan as a kid. Saw him at countless house shows either against Andre or Rude. Always a fun time, I cherish those days. Keep drinking a few more beers, smoke a few more cigarettes. You are sure really, really cool. Brother, I'm going to get your ass in the ring and run circles around you. And when your tongue is hanging down by your feet and I'm walking off with the damn belt in my hands you're going to wonder "what the Hell was I thinking...that's STEVE AUSTIN." Geez, this is nuts. When I first read the news, I thought possible cardiac arrest or something stemming from years of some sort of bodily or drug abuse, sort like how Eddie died. This is unreal, given that he was live on RAW last night, and at Wrestlemania, and inducted into the HoF on Saturday. And there was that really nice backstage photo of him with Vince.
Warrior is ingrained in my earliest WWF memories. He was definitely a big part of my childhood, like he was for a lot of people here. Rest in Peace, Warrior. Hope you're no-selling finishers up in the squared circle in the sky. |

He did seem to have a sad/agonising look on his face and until we get a post morgen result we won't know for sure. But I would speculate it was a combination of all those years of steroid abuse, the stresses of his issues inside and outside the ring and perhaps the pure emotion of the past few days and weeks that sadly just proved too much for the Warrior to physically handle.
I am just glad it wasn't suicide as I can imagine the critics getting the knives out to call him a wacko etc if that had been the case. I mean I always admired him but did consider it rather odd he legally changed his name to Warrior but I judge him on his ring work and he is certainly one of the all time greats. I'm glad he finally 'came home' to wwe before passing on. |

Every time one of his cintemparies dies I think "maybe there's more to his "The Immortal" Hulk Hogan moniker".
On a more serious note, so pleased for everybody involved that they managed to resolve their past issues. |
