NASCAR was on in my area, but don't fret, Family Guy and American Dad returns June 6, I believe. All I remember is that Fox says they return in June with new episodes, so yeah, Fox will not get rid of this again.... yet.

Riiight, So fox screwed around with the first lot os eries and canned it because no one watched it. After realising that people actually liked the show, they bring it back and after 4 weeks fuck around with it again! Fucking Morons!

I'm sorry, but do you know how many more millions of people watch NASCAR races than "Family Guy" episodes?
I'm not a fan of either, but auto racing has a huge following compared to the small (but loyal) cult of FG fans. Of course they're going to play what gets them higher ratings. Murdoch may be an idiot, but not because of this. This is actually good business. |

Yeah, I'm into NASCAR. I wanted to see new Family Guy episodes, but NASCAR's Coke 600 is run every Memorial Day weekend on Sunday night. This year it just happened to conflict with Family Guy and American Dad.

I liked it but they are putting way too many movie references nowadays.
American Dad was ROFL though. I guess the golden turd episode is going to be like the chicken fights on Family Guy? |

They are putting in too many obscure references. I'm sure the writers think it's hilarious but everybody who watches it, nah.

I'm personally getting tired of the Star Wars references. The past three or so episodes had them.
Otherwise, it wasn't bad in my opinion. Hopefully they'll start pulling out new gags instead of relying on previous ones. For example, the chicken fight a few weeks ago. |

So what's the deal (since we haven't got the new Family Guy over here yet)? They've brought it back and it sucks ass?

I thought it was an ok episode. Not the best by far.
The first simpsons episode of the night was the best out of all the cartoons. Laughed my ass off.....then put it back on. |

It's still a great show, but it seems like they're trying way too hard to force the insanity and randomness. Before, it all kind of flowed together into one giant, 25 minute ball of story and crazy shit. Now it's more cut and dry. Not to mention Stewie's character has been dumbed down to a slow-talking, sarcastic one-liner.
Everything just seems so contrived. |

I thought this Family Guy was one of the better ones, actually. Mostly due to the Rocky references.

It had its moments. The Lassie spoof was hilarious, and I fell apart during the Star Wars bit. Overall not as solid, but it had some ROFL moments for sure.
And can ANYONE tell me what the "Golden Turd" thing on American Dad was alluding too? No one seems to know. I've sworm I've seen the same lines, camera angles, and mood in some movie before. It's really irritating! |

it seems the pacing of family guy has been a little too quick. The earlier seasons seemed to be paced better and flow more smoothly.
I think Seth McFarlane is spreading himself a little thin though doing both family guy and american dad. Both very funny shows, but thats alot of material to come up with week after week. |

I think the episode was a bit slow because it revolved around Cleveland. The guy's good as a side character, but I wasn't exactly clamoring for a whole episode devoted to him.
But yeah... as samichna said... ROCK LOBSTER |

Haha right after Cleveland moved in with the Griffons Peter was like "This will cheer you up" (or something), and pulled out an acoustic guitar and played Rock Lobster. I dunno I guess it wasn't "that" funny but it kinda wassss

The Peter-Vehicle gags were pretty good, but thats all that really got me laughing. American Dad was better by far. I think the main problem with these new episodes is that they are spending way too much time on the exposition. It's halfway through the show before they even get to the main story.
