UFC 169: The Ghost of Dominic Cruz
So Cruz has to pull out of his unification bout with Barao due to groin injury so Faber is now stepping up and it looks like UFC is stripping Cruz of his title. I have never liked him but man, that dude has some bad luck. With all the knee trouble, to now, after two years, have to pull out for a pulled groin is crazy.
fight card Still a legit ppv |

Damn.
Well, let's see if Faber can continue his streak of dominating non-title fights, then losing decisions when the belt is up for grabs. |

What a horrible stoppage. This sport is lame anymore. These judges and refs are garbage and a ton of fights... major fights, have been highly questionable because of it. I won't even go to bdubs to watch this shit for free.

I will. The Verner KO was sweet.
I'd say the judges are more of a problem than anything. Like in one if the earlier fights I wasn't paying much attention to ,but when the winner was announced Rogan questioned the result. |

It was not a horrible stoppage at all. It was a horrible decision by Faber to remained turtled up while getting punched in the side of the head while Herb Dean is tell him to improve his position.

The judging will slowly get better. It's hilarious that people like RP blame the UFC for this kind of shit but it really falls on the athletic commissions because the judges and refs are hired by them, not Zuffa or the UFC. |

They are talking Reem vs JDS.
Makes the most sense. I see it finishing out the top tier of the July card. Weidman/Belfort (c) Sonnen/Wandy Reem/JDS |

excellent card if it turns out to be true. Otherwise I would be happy with a Overeem Vs. Hunt rematch.

I'm pretty sure it will be Weidman/Belfort with Chael/Wandy as the co-main, but I would think they would add one other "co-main" type match to make it a super PPV. It's just wishful thinking that it will be two HW monsters in that third spot.

I'm with Krispy, actually. Fighters know by now that lack of movement gets fights stopped in those situations.

tbh I'm with Krispy here, Faber didn't move after Herb told him to, he ate like 15 straight hammer fists, and had been dropped twice in the previous 90 seconds. It was a bit sad it ended that way, but Faber needed to do something at the time =/

Only ignorant fans are saying it was early. Dana White prolly redacted his statement after watching it again, atleast clarified that Faber, not Dean, made the mistake.

He was punching him in his arm. He was defending himself. Dean asked if he was ok and he gave a thumbs up. It was a horrible stop.
