Os have 54 straight wins dating back to last season when allowing 0,1 or 2 runs, leading 2-0 in the bottom of the 8th tonight. The record is 66 straight for the 05-07 Yankees.

Chris Parmelee almost just took a pitch to the face. Just got down enough to take it on the helmet. Scary moment.

If you had told me that near the end of April the Os would have a better record (11-7) than the Tigers (10-8) I might have laughed. Being able to beat the blue jays is a good sign things are turning around (6-12 vs them last year, 4-1 so far this year).
Hopefully they can get things turned around vs the Yankees next week up in NY. If they can finally play with the Yankees and not get swept like they did earlier I might start getting optimistic about this season. |

Good win and great series the Sox had against the Twins even though the bullpen almost caused another big lead to be tossed away tonight.

The Mets are fielding a completely homegrown lineup tonight. Honestly can't remember the last time that happened.
1. Kirk Nieuwenhuis, CF 2. Ruben Tejada, SS 3. Daniel Murphy, 2B 4. David Wright, 3B 5. Lucas Duda, RF 6. Ike Davis, 1B 7. Josh Thole, C 8. Jordany Valdespin, LF 9. Jon Niese, P |

FUCK YOU SUPREME. Did an audible fist pump at the gym today in the ninth inning and caused quite the ruckus.

Hoping Matusz can avoid losing his 13th straight start to help the Os get the sweep tonight..not confident though he'll magically find it for a good start.

Tigers release Brandon Inge and call up Brad Eldred to take his place.
Reading/hearing news about Inge was like watching Survivor. Guy's like on the verge of getting released from the team but always found a way to stay. This time, I don't think he found the immunity idol. |

Humber's first start since the perfect game and he got shelled badly:
5 innings, 8 runs (7 in the 1st 3 innings), 9 hits, 3 HRs allowed. Dubront finally got his first win for the Red Sox and had another good game. Bullpen didn't blow it this time. |

Pujols watch tonight, right? Today is either make or break for him to get a home run or else this will the longest game streak without a home run?

6 errors and 18 runs allowed for the Mets tonight on top of horrendous pitching. Fuck.

if I'm getting anything from the first game of this series it's that the Rockies pitching is a disaster, and the Mets could use some work

I am still pretty happy about that game last night. When you go against Verlander you don't expect to actually win. Any reason they kept in that pitcher in the 9th? I kept hoping and praying that they didn't take him out. BTW what did Delmon Young do again? I heard he got arrested but I'm not sure what it was about.

Dude, we stole that game. We take what we can get.
As for Delmon, got into an altercation somewhere and said some stuff. Some of said stuff was over the hate crime line. |

Timmy had a pretty nice game last night. Broke up a no-hitter in the sixth and pitched a pretty solid game. He needed to get out of this retarded fucking slump he's been in.

Wilson Betemit with a walkoff 3 run homer to cap a 5 run 9th down 2-0 with 1 out for the Os to win 5-2.
win #57 in a row when allowing 2 runs or less as well when it was looking pretty bad for that streak.. |

Red Sox couldn't get the 4 game sweep against the White Sox but the road trip has been a huge success (6-1) after the debacle at Fenway's 100th.

Why am I not surprised that the Mets blew a 4-0 lead to waste a great Johan start?
Oh yeah, because that's what they've done throughout his entire Mets tenure. Either there's no run support, or the pen blows it. He was on a HOF pace before the trade to the Mets. Poor guy. |
