How do I stop Windows Messenger from starting up?
Like the title says
I wanna either get rid of it altogether, or just prevent it from starting up when Windows starts. Anyone want to lend a hand? |

I can't get to the main window
That's the FIRST thing I thought of, but I can't find a way to get to that window. The only thing that I can get to is the chat window when some messages me |

What do you mean you can't get to the main window?
When MSN is open, just double-click the item in the system tray, and the main window should open. From there just go to Tools > Options > General, then uncheck it |

Or if you're really suer you can't do that...
Click on Start > Run then type in "msconfig", then go to the Startup tab, and uncheck "msnmsgr". That should stop it from opening on startup. |

You can also go to Add or Remove Programs in your Control Panel, click on Add/Remove Windows Components on the left side of the window, and uncheck Windows Messenger.
That will get rid of the program off your computer. |

You should be able to get to the Windows Messenger main window through your Start Menu.
