I still say the main reason I hate the Bayformers is that during the "hand-to-hand" fights, you can't tell which bot is which until they show a face.
Actually, unless you see their face, it's pretty much the same the whole way through the movie. |

Yea that's actually one of the things for me..in the first one I was looking foward to seeing character build up with my lovable robots and looking forward to the tension between Starscream and Megatron like in the cartoons.
Instead I couldn't tell which robot was which , was he good or bad? It didn't make me care for anything at all..so it made it realllyy boringgg |

I'm not saying it shouldn't have been made, I'm just mean, imo, the movie sucked. It failed to make me care about the robots, the humans, the fate of planet earth. That's a problem whether you want to admit it or not. Also the way they beat you over the head with product placement in this movie, is horrible. Especially the scene where the mom is drinking a bud light. I mean, it was so blatant, they may as well of had a commercial break for Bud Light. Id have to watch it again, but the mother might have broken the fourth wall, by looking in to the camera and turning the can so we could see it was Bud Light. Come on. And some of the characters were over the top horrible. I did like that McDreamy was in the movie though.

I thought the end was nice...but wasnt worth sitting through the hour and half or boredom leading up to something.
I probably wont see it again till it his DVD and I can get it for cheap. |

Yeah I saw this twice, once in IMAX 3D and once normally. I loved the movie, easily best of the three and pretty good Bay movie that didn't feel like a Bay movie.
- 3D was nice (especially during the 'Birdmen' sequence), but I'm not converted to the 3D craze. It's pricey, a novelty that shouldn't be pushed like it is. Won't need to see 3D films ever again. It's like people who bitch over the difference between 720 and 1080 visuals in games. Fuck off. Regular theater experience for me. - Liked the conspiracy themes. Overall liked that humans were more intertwined with the TF story than the last movies. - Megatron seemed... different. Nursing Deceptibabies, sharing power with Sentinel, and being literally lazy during certain scenes. But no dialogue or anything explaining this shift in attitude. - Speaking of him, a friend noted that Carly's 'motivational speech' seemed like something fitting for Starscream to do. Also, Carly has been more important to the story than the last chick. - Shockwave was epic. - Not sure about Soundwave being a Mercedes. Liked the neon speaker things, though. Points for Frank Welker dropping the Dr. Claw laugh. - Glad I went dark on this two weeks to launch, because I had no idea Sentinel would pull a heel turn. Though with his voice actor's past work with TF, it matched up. - Ya know what? Bayformer Optimus never takes prisoners. Decepticons have been observed taking more prisoners than Prime. Optimus is hardcore in these movies. - Human soldiers went to work in this one. Good shit. |

Enjoyed the movie,
only wish we could have had more Megatron (Interaction with Shockwave, and not needing "motivation" to go join the final battle)... Also, i just noticed that Prime and Shockwave fight more on the Burger King commercial, than they do in the actual movie.... |

Yeah, people assume it's from a cut scene. Extended DVD fodder. Starting to think they set this sort of thing up.

I finally saw this. I thought the first half of the movie abruptly jumped around a little too much, and was a bit unorganized. Really enjoyed the second half, when things started cooking.
Really liked shockwave. He was my favorite transformer as a kid, and he was great here. I probably would be bothered by soundwave being a car, if welker wasn't voicing him. As it is, I just didn't care, because welker is awesome. Hated that Megatron didn't have much of a role here, and hated more that starscream made no attempt to usurp megatron in his weakened position. MT was just a total chump in this movie. I still think there was too much "human" stuff in the movie. It could have been cut down considerably to make room for more transformers stuff. Hopefully if rumors of another trilogy bare any truth, it will take place on cybertron, far far away from John Malkovich. |

I hope the next set adds the 86 line of characters, I would even enjoy Rodimus as the new leader.

Was Dino one of those characters they had to rename because they didn't have the liscense anymore?
I remember that in a cartoon a while back Shockwave was Shockblast, and Ravage was called something completely different. I just don't ever remember anybody named dino. Speaking of which I am sad the Dinobots didn't make it in. |

Dino's an original, I think, though his vehicle was used before.
Yeah no Dinobots, victims of 'tone' I guess. |

If they were willing to put those ridiculous twins in the movie, the RC Cars, and Shia Lebouf's ridiculousness, I doubt the Dinobots would have upset their precious "tone".
Maybe next time. |

They had a tone, and the D-Bots would have raised too many questions. Even for this series.

Apparently Dino was Mirage and Q was Wheeljack.
Baffling. |
