"Official" bootlegs
What's out there for "Official" Bootlegs? That is, Bootlegs released officially by bands?
Examples: Aerosmith--Live Bootleg Morphine--Bootleg Detroit (One of the hottest sounding Bootls I've ever heard) Velvet Underground--Final V.U. (AKA Final View), plus a couple others that I can't think of... I know there's a ton of Greatful Dead Official Boots, but I've never listened to them or owned them... |

Pearl Jam releases about 3 or 4 bootlegs every year. They don't sell them online anymore though.

3 or 4? I think they released a few more than that...
Neurosis have started issuing them, but I've not bothered to check them out. Meant to be good though. |

Morphine's Bootleg Detroit was a boot that was recorded on low-fi by someone in the crowd. When a couple members heard it, they decided to digitally master it and release it as a live album. Same sorta deal with Aerosmith's "Live Bootleg." Is it that kinda deal, or just a live recording? |
