I think the farts are just a metaphor for how easy it is for him to be better than most rappers anymore. The songs with the farts are just that...lyrical farts. Nothing he even has to work at.

Or maybe I'm looking too far into it.

How could you think that? His last album was TERRIBLE. His first major release, The Slim Shady LP, is his best album. Second is Marshall Mathers LP, which some might effectivly argue is the best. This new one is complely horrible, and Eminem show was an utter piece of shit. Maybe pop culture idiots might have like Eminem show, but it lacked an real or decent content and strived for nothing more than mediocrity and tried to fall back on reused humor.

My fucking dumbass started another thread about this.. neg rep me.. but i gave this a 6.5 out of 10 Im a big Em fan but some songs on the CD are terrible

I agree that The Eminem Show was not his best work but somehow It went double platinum.

I just wish this site had more informed fans of hip-hop so we could have some really interesting discussions about how the genre is changing...

Like Toy Soliders and Mocking Bird are the only two stand out tracks. I really like Like Toy Soldiers, I cannot stop listening to it.
