Lita was botching things like mad the last year or two of her career, but her overall body of work was stronger than AJ's.

I've thought on this a bit. Lita was better inring. Lita has been involved in bigger angles as a 2nd. AJ might have had a higher peak in popularity. Id like some data on that to feel confident but I think that would be true.
I think Lita had a bigger impact on the business. As said before AJs impact was done in the locker room she really didnt do anything as a perfomer that changed the game. Lita was taking big bumps and hitting high spots at a time when it was top of the line for a woman in the business to be able to snatch a headlock. Im going with Lita. |

Also, Lita was AJ's hero. Willing to bet AJ has blurted out "call me Lita!" in bed with Punk at least once.

STD calling Lita a hot pocket Wi-Fi spot may have changed my vote if I didn't vote on the spot for things

Lita.
AJ was better in terms of in-ring skills but Lita was better as the overall package and had more memorable moments. Last edited by Emperor Smeat; 02-17-2017 at 01:59 PM. |

Both not "technicians" by any means, botch-a-mania running wild, but Lita regardless was a great worker.

Honestly Lita is a bit overrated. That said she still gets my vote because even without the rose tinted glasses Lita was fun to watch, and without her there'd be no AJ Lee to tear down expectations and lead to where we are now. Had AJ stuck it out longer and been active right now with all the amazing competition I think things might have been different but as it stands now Lita gets the nod.

I think AJ would have been dope in the Attitude Era, but she did well with what was permitted. I also never really thought Lita was dope at all. I thought the Hardyz were lame as fuck, and she had a nice thong or whatever, but it's AJ for me.

If it wasn't for Lita paving the way A.J. wouldn't have been able to do what she did for the time she was in the WWE.
That being said A.J is just better across the board. |

Yeah, that really bothered me about her final match @ Survivor Series 2006. I mean, it's bad enough she loses, and then Vince decides it would be funny to send Cryme Tyne out with a box of her (kayfabe) belongings and do a "Ho Sale" of them...SMH.

Unrelated to the thread, been thinking about Cryme Tyme a bit recently, and about how they would have been "massively over" in NXT.
Related to the thread, I think I might have to give this to AJ Lee. I dunno. I'll have to think about it. I feel like outside of Lita's stuff with Trish, I didn't really like her too much.... she wasn't bad or anything, I just didn't really care for her..... just kind of "there"....... Maybe..... I dunno..... will think on it more....... |

I think Lita is the first woman to ever main event a RAW? She was also an innovator of what people perceived woman could do in the ring. She challenged perceptions I think.
She was a constant on air personality, involved with acts that were over, in an era where that wasn't necessarily the norm. Her legacy on the business and influence far outweighs AJ, as does her longevity. She might have been sloppy and risky, but she was very watchable and probably influenced a whole generation of woman who wanted to be more than just eye candy. Def Lita for me |

But she retired in 2015.
If that "Ho Sale" "killed woman's wrestling for 10 years" then according to you, women's wrestling was still dead during AJ's run, so she couldn't have "brought it back to life" as there were still over a year and a half left of women's wrestling being (apparently) dead. |

Not to mention that the idea that the "ho sale" thing killed womens wrestling for any period of time is ridiculous.
