Jesus.
Good thing they've created so many stars through the midcard over the years to plug into the main event without it feeling forced. Wade Barrett vs Fandango for a WrestleMania main event. |

Can't even imagine what WWE would do if Reigns went down right now.

Not to be a dick wishing injury on people... but if that's what needs to happen for WWE to finally allow Johnny Curtis to lead them into the next boom period, then so be it, Goddammit.

Damn sucks for Randy. Going to be the first Mania he's missed in like 12 years I think.

My point was how, over the past several years, they have failed to create a series of new stars. Now they are freaking out due to there being no Cena, no Orton, and no Rollins (one of the few new stars they made). Also, no Cesaro (not as big a loss to them, outside of being a capable hand to feed to people.).

I wish I could say the WWE is in good hands with guys like Ziggler and Barrett, but they've been used so inconsistently over the years that it's hard to care about anything they do.

Always felt like this is a blessing in disguise for a guy like Orton. What's he been doing for the last couple of years? F'n nothing. Just there because he's active.

Yall remember when Barrett and the Nexus saved an entire summer of WWE programming? How about when Ziggler eliminated almost everyone on Team Authority at Survivor Series? Or when Fandango went over Jericho at WM? Glad to see they really built off those. Barrett's King of the Ring!!

Not quite sure why Tatanka is still on the bench at times like this.

no but they might voice some discontent if the potential pro-bowl RB that they're all starting to get behind because he's stringing together a few 100 yard games is suddenly doing nothing but playing jammer on punt returns for no apparent reason

Owens vs Ambrose could be great if it's kept simple, organic and to the point

It could be great, but they've stop-started Ambrose so many times I'm finding it hard to care about him. He's a good talker, but he never really says anything that resonates, so I no longer look forward to hearing him talk. Owens interests me whenever he grabs the mic, but he's another guy that just flops around and wins and loses as much as the other.
I don't know who to bet on if I'm a new fan watching. As I heard MSL say on Kevin Sullivan's show last week -- how are people meant to care about their heroes if they see them get beat every week? |

When I read that news about Orton, it made me think that he might be close to being done. His injuries are mounting up, he's made a lot of money already, he's asked for a reduced schedule, he just got married, they haven't really done much of anything with him since he was WWE World Champ last (and that run was maligned by poor character development). It really wouldn't surprise me to see Orton at least dial it back to special attraction status.

An annual leave for Orton would do good I think, ditto for the leave Cena is currently on. If WWE are ever going to make new stars they're going to need to get used to the Cenas and Ortons not always being around. If they could quit it with the terrible stop-start booking of the current talent, that would be good too. |
