I'm gonna need them to do Lethal Leap Year as a whole show. This has to keep going, it's too good not to.

On second thought, Johnny Curtis is so money at everything he does that I can see how you could get caught up and have a tough time linking him to his character.

Cenas hilarious as well. It'll never happen, but Curtis and Cena should pair up for more stuff.. Or a buddy cop movie. |

I couldn't tell who the champion was. TJ Perkins I think.
Also curious who the masked luchador was. |

Watched the first 2 videos, pretty funny. I'll watch the other two later. This would be great for a WWE Network show. Was Tyler Breeze Mr. McElroy?

Upon further inspection, I think the masked luchador was Luke Harper.

Johnny Curtis should be in as many things like this as possible, especially if they're barely going to use him on television.
He and Heath Slater are so similar for me in terms of guys I thought were the blandest people possible when I first saw them in NXT, now they're two of my favorites on the roster because they're absolutely hilarious whenever given the opportunity. |

You thought Johnny Curtis was bland on NXT? NXT was the first place I recognized him as the ideal pro wrestling superstar. The guy blew everyone out of the water from a charisma/likability standpoint every week.

Heath Slater on the other hand did always come off as awkward and unnatural as fuck. His try hard-ness can lead to some comedy though.

Then he did a bunch of weird ass SmackDown vignettes which amounted to nothing. When he came back to NXT (after they abandoned the competition format) he became Creepy Curtis and that's when I realized how good he actually was. |

From that moment it had to be either him or Brodus. They were the only ones who didn't come off as ridiculously cringe-worthy. |

I'm in the same boat as Vito on this one; didn't see any appeal in JC on NXT, but fell in love with him for his SmackDown vignettes.

That wasn't Bateman's best work but I thought he shined best during his Bryan segments anyway.
I remember feeling gutted for Brodus when he cut the best promo of the entire season during the finale and still lost. Wasn't much of a surprise to me that they immediately put him on the main roster with Del Rio while Curtis still took months to debut formally. |

Bateman's bromance with Bryan/obviously cheating in competitions was entertaining. As a performer though I never could stand him. The way he over-enunciates when he talks is so annoying to me. Similar to the same problem I always had with Slater. Always seems like he's over-acting to try to make up for not being comfortable on the mic.

Hmm, never even noticed that tbh. Always just chalked it up to the fact that they were supposed to be playing bombastic over-the-top characters.

When Bateman explained the planned Mr. USA gimmick on Colt Cabana's podcast, I got sad that it never made it to TV.
He was going to come out, pose on the ramp as some American hero with pyro and explosions just going off everywhere. Then they'd go to commercial and when it came back he'd still be standing there with explosions going off. |

My only problem with this series was I wish they hadn't tried to add jokes to it outside of just parodying the era. Tyler Breeze being like "Trespassing? How can I be trespassing... WHEN I OWN IT???" was hilarious. But then when he kept stopping his evil laugh in order to fix his mustache it was like "Meh..."

1987 later episodes should have an even related to the election.

lol Dammit. Now I wanna see The Hardys start trying to track down the Southpaw Regional Wrestling tag team champions, completely clueless that the company never actually existed.

No Lethal Leap Year ppv event.
Looking back, WWE really dodged a big bullet since it probably would have been a lot better and iconic than Mania III. |
