That B4 teaser trailer was ass.

CvS2 as a straight port is not what people are asking for.

Early Access is a bad idea, if not a punchline in the making (in regard to most games being unfinished when they release anyway).

1) According to Bioware, switching Star Wars The Old Republic from a paid to a free-to-play model has been a huge success with over 2 million new subscribers gained since its relaunch.

I seriously doubt we're seeing a next-gen only Call of Duty this early on.

Though it might well promote the sale of next-gen consoles.

1) The president of Square-Enix, Yoichi Wada, announces he will be resigning from the company after it is expected the company will post a loss of around $138 million for this fiscal year. The biggest source for the loss was their recent restructuring plans which cost them around $106 million.

And they are remaking HD versions of FFX and FFX-II

Square Enix already sells FF7 as a digital download for PC. Are there really that many people who care about an HD remake, but don't want to bother with installing mods to update the graphics?

1) Similar to Valve having a new service for Steam that allows people to pay and play unfinished games still in development, Sony states they are considering doing the same for the PS4, PS Vita, PS mobile devices, and PS3.

Yes. People have asked for a VII remix since PS2 hit the markets. It is (arguably) the most popular and widely recognized installment of the entire series. It would break records, I would imagine.

I'm not even going to read the article, though I'm assuming it actually covered what the EA exec actually said.

You know, where he actually defended SimCity's always online and the like as a "service" rather than DRM, defended the practice in SimCity. This is kind of a big difference, as it means EA probably won't turn over a new leaf so much as try and rebrand DRM "services."

Calling it an MMO would be the wise thing to do, then you have a much more manageable case of "SimCity was never a multiplayer game" and such. Then comes AE on why they wanted SimCity to go that route. Either way it's easier than trying to defend DRM.
