Watching SummerSlam '94..did the Owen vs. Bret title match set the record for most attempted escapes from a cage?

Trying to work out how someone in WCW watched a Mick Foley promo and thought "Doubt we could make money with this".

Dunno, did WCW even care about promo skills? I mean this is the same company that made Lex Luger it's world champion... TWICE

Bret Hart and Goldberg win the tag titles in what can only be described as an all time classic. Please note the pure sex appeal of Mike Tenay and Juventud Guerrera on commentary. #thejuice |

Yeah, but here it was mainly for jokes. Now we're gonna get people posting ROH videos or something.

Yeah, honestly, 75%+ of the videos were being posted here in the first place. I always saw the YouTube thread as a place for full matches and that was it, anyway.
Maybe make a new full matches thread or something. I did find it ridiculous that the YouTube thread was stickied, though. |

don't really even need a thread for full matches, there's nothing stopping them being posted in here. This thread doesn't seem to get more than 1-2 new pages per day and just about everybody is here that often/capable of checking it. A thread of full matches will die on it's arse in a week, if that

Random thought I just had recently.
Could a Muhammad Hassan type character actually work if the guy himself actually tried the same promos about showing what is wrong with America without being either a minority, Muslim, anti-America character, or overtly preachy-style heel (ex. Jericho in the business suit)? He'd still be a heel but wouldn't have the cheap way of getting heat by verbally attacking America or be a Muslim which is something fans booed Hassan for. |

During an interview on the “Right After Wrestling” SIRIUS satellite radio show, Hulk Hogan predicted that Nielsen ratings would triple to a 3.0 on his debut appearance on TNA Impact on Monday January 4.

The amazing part of those ratings is even when the nWo and Goldberg were at the height of their popularity, WCW could only average the high 3s to high 4s for ratings (hit 6 once, and 5 a few times).
WWF on the other hand was able to maintain high 5s to low 6s as an average and then could hit a few 7s and 8s during their dominance which doubled WCW's best. |

Don't know if that has been posted before, but RVD/Lynn did the same exact spot a few months back or whenever they had some sort of match in TNA.

They'll just cheer anything Austin says in the US in 1997.
Shawn: "I could have taken Bret out from wrestling in the USA and you stopped that!" Austin: "I don't give a damn about the US or any place" *crowd pops* |
