Good game overall even though the Lakers won. Ignoring the huge FT difference, Celtics probably would have won if KG didn't get ice cold in the 2nd half. Lakers still have the "big man" advantage which helped them with critical rebounds tonight.
All-star reserves were announce with some pretty big names left out in favor of younger players although the starting lineup for the West is basically just the LA teams and Durrant. Tim Duncan's (13 in a row) and KG's (14 in a row) streaks were snapped while Dirk made it even though he said he wasn't worthy. |

Can't wait until Amare and Carmelo get back. Gonna be nice to see Lin doing the pick and roll with someone that can finish in Amare instead of Jeffries. And kicking it out to Carmelo instead of Bill Walker. He obviously won't keep up the scoring when those two come back but I'm excited to see what they can do together with an actual PG.

I'm a believer after watching that game...He'll come down to earth soon but he'll definitely be a solid player in the league

That was pretty incredible seeing Linsanity run wild all over Kobe yesterday. This season is pretty mint sometimes.
Wish the Kings would get consistent though. |

Big win by the Cs over the Bulls (even though they didn't have Rose)
Rondo had a triple double today against the Bulls and one of the best games he's played this season. Celtics got too sloppy once they had a decent lead late in the 4th and almost gave the game away. |

Lin is good, and I don't have a problem with the guy.
However if Lin were playing for the Sixers or some other team not on LA or Boston no one would care. He is a total hype product of New York. |

Celtics have been horrible lately once the 4th quarter shows up. Rondo had a great scoring game because nobody else bothered on the team.

Knicks close to signing JR Smith. I've been hearing some fans talking about him ruining chemistry if brought in but I like the move. He gives the Knicks a legit scorer off the bench, something they don't really have. Really soon the Knicks will be loaded with depth if Baron Davis gets back on the court. Even without him they'd be pretty deep.
Lin-Fields-Melo-Amare-Chandler Smith-Shumpert-Davis-Novak-Jeffries-Jorts, Walker and Douglas at the end of the bench. I imagine Bibby's gone if they get this deal with Smith done. |

Looks like Smith to the Knicks is a done deal now. I'm interested to see if the Knicks are gonna have him start or come off the bench.
