You know you can edit your own thread titles, right? I'll do this one for you, but it's pretty easy.

Also, it's weird that you noticed a type-o and commented on it in the original post without fixing it.
Anyway, why NOT Scott Hall in the HOF? |

I still like to say things to the effect of "if somethin' happens to this gold, chico...somethin's gonna happen to YOU!" in the rare event that I ask someone to hold something for me.

Great if Hall goes in, but there's no way he should go in before Nash, if not at the same time.

I think Scott is a great addition to the under card of this years hall of fame and compliments the main eventer, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, entry into the Hall very nicely.
Im not too sure on Lita being inducted but to each their own. Congratulations to Scott Hall and Jake Roberts. |

Scott Hall was a decent wrestler and of course his highlights would be the ladder match with HBK at WM10 and his part as the original NWO. But then for me that was it, unless I really am missing something. He was never a main eventer or 'the man' and as I keep saying NWO would never have worked if Hogan hadn't been involved, it would have just fizzled out with someone else. Sure he was a key player in that invasion storyline but as I said he fed off the success of Hogan and to an extent Nash. As someone else pointed out earlier I find it strange they would induct Hall individually before Nash and before the NWO as a group.
I just wonder if this has something to do with the fact Triple H is close to him re the Kliq, and perhaps people feeling sorry for him and Roberts because of their recent well publicised stories about their alcohol issues, rehab and the progress since then. Seems like being a recovering alcoholic is the ticket to HOF induction. I mean tbh I view HOF with a pinch of salt, they're typical American pretentious garbage, not voted for by fans or journalists it's just who WWE think are worthy, I'd give the actual Pro Wrestling HOF more worth. But to induct Hall over so many others who have achieved so much more is baffling. Heck even Goldbberg has a far more legitimate claim to being in the HOF than Hall, as does Bulldog, Nash even Lex Luger who I'm not really a fan of. Savage won't go in until they induct the entire Poffo family. |

Scott Hall was OVER AS FUCK. The only reason he wasn't ever World Champion in WCW was because of his "demons".

I honestly wonder if there isn't a sentiment of "let's induct him before he falls of the wagon" by WWE. I love the fact that he's clean and in a good place, but the odds are he'll never be any better or healthier than he is now, and since he belongs there anyway, why not do it now. They should seriously induct DDP alongside them too.

if he'd stayed in the WWF and stayed clean he'd have been WWF champion at some point too. Every wrestling fan at my school had a serious boner for him, and he was a guy who the fans basically dictated a face turn for.

As I said i find the whole selection process for wwe HOF screwed up. Who makes these decisions? The fans should be doing it as opposed to Triple H, Vince and a few other old timers. It's just a parade of who WWE thinks should be in their HOF as opposed to a legitimate recognition of a contribution to the industry. I mean let's be honest why is Koko B ware in there? And for celeb inductions why did they overlook Ali and Liberace who made appearances at WM 1? Then again as I said in a previous thread inducting Ali would pretty much overshadow any other inductee on that bill and be an event in itself and I think given they want the focus to be on a key wrestling star each year, Ali's induction would undoubtedly detract from that. Honestly how could honouring Ali in any capacity on any bill or event play second fiddle to anything else? |
