Luke Harper Appreciation Thread
I feel he deserves one. His match with Cena was a great match.

I love everything about his look. His scraggly beard with white hair in it.... his scraggly hair with his bald spot.... his crazy eyes.... his shirt with the giant sweat stain that looks like he has never cleaned it...

I don't want them to, but I can't wait for The Wyatt split.

He's like a better version of bruiser Brody. Looks, eyes, mannerisms

He reminds me of Brody (obviously), Purple Haze (if you've seen any of the Army of Darkness stuff, you'll understand), and to a lesser extent, the Undertaker (in the being insanely agile for a guy his size and the dedication to his gimmick).

Been saying this for a while. Harper is probably one of the best big men they've had in ages. I'd love to see what he's capable of on his own, but only after we've had the Wyatt Family for a good long while.

He's really agile for a big man....almost Undertaker-esque....he can pull off suicide dives and hurricanranas no problem.

I'd love for the Wyatt "family" to be a good case of long-term booking like Kane and Undertaker.
I thought it was stupid for the WWE to go out of their way to have the fans forget about Edge and Christian being brothers. The Wyatts should be able to break up and get back together within 6 months when that time comes. |

It's taken me a while to go from "I've heard great things about the guy and I can see that he's got skills" to "Holy fuck, this guy is awesome," but his work lately has got me steadily approaching that. I'm not trying to trash on Erick Rowan, who is going to hopefully come out of his main roster apprenticeship quite the polished big man himself, but there's just something far more inherently...interesting about Luke Harper. As a character, he seems to have more intelligence than he's letting on. He's getting himself over not just by association with Bray Wyatt, but because his character seems like it's own person and that he relishes in what he's doing (whilst never stepping out of line as a follower).
His matches with John Cena were quite awesome, and he works well with smaller opponents. He's got a long, long career ahead of him as a reliable big man that can serve as a gate-keeper to the main event scene at least. Watching him on RAW made me think that the WWE could pass him off as Bray Wyatt's "secret weapon" quite easily. By that I mean that Harper would be, in an unacknowledged way, the toughest in The Wyatt Family -- even moreso than Bray himself -- who runs the show and reaps the benefits (obviously being a force in his own right, mind you). |

the suicide dive and hurricanrana on Cena were both incredible. He works at an unbelievabley quick pace for a man his size.

Luke Harper reminds me of Trevor from GTA5. That's not a bad thing, that's a good thing.

Luke Harper was a great star and has served as inspiration for future wrestlers such as Acreage Wrestling Federation's Payne.
