I'm not actually surprised. When you've been working in front of live crowds for as long as he has, it's probably not much of a transition to move from the ring to the stage. And I saw him dressed as a cowboy on tv like 10 years ago, but I had no idea that it was actually Lonesome Dove.

You got to at least respect him for having the balls to do this. It's not really as unusual as one might think. This is actually kind of tame compared to what Shawn Michaels did in the mid-90s, posing for Playgirl and all. I wish Bret the best of success in this new project of his, and hope it all goes good for him. He seriously needs something happy in his life given the crap of the past.

I think it's great that he's doing something he enjoys. Although the picture makes him look goofy, he looks surprisingly well compared to how he looked a year ago. Good luck to Bret with this project, and i hope so see him (in a non-wrestling role) in the WWE again, someday.

Although I see what you mean, the situations are quite different. Bret has been out of wrestling for quite a while for health concerns, while Brock was perfectly healthy when he left. Bret loved wrestling, Brock doesn't really care for it. If Bret hadn't been able to get the part of genie, we probably wouldn't even have heard about his trying out. The NFL is a pretty big deal, so the media was all over Brock since he tried out for the Vikings. Making the NFL is MUCH harder after taking a long break from it, as compared to attaining an acting role.
