Another awful side effect of the Benoit thing as a business situation.
It basically means that....the WWE has once more lost a crediable main eventer to use, and this just furthers their recent drought, especially now that the WWE had plans to let Benoit be the ECW champ, with the very possible outcome of moving him to RAW to work a program with Bobby Lashely.

This, however, now puts the WWE in further of a setback. Kennedy is right now not in tip top shape, and people still have doubts about him, we all know by now that Benoit isn't avaliable for obvious reasons, the Undertaker is with a knee injury, Rey has been ready to go for the past two MONTHS yet for some reason the WWE doesn't put him into the programs, Triple H and Shawn are still out, many of the ECW originals are being buried or have already been released, and now John Cena is talking about taking time off, which may mean he might HAVE to drop the title soon and he will be gone.

So...who's left in the interm until the WWE can get some people back? Khali and Umaga? Is Edge really going to be expected to carry the SmackDown shows by himself? Are they really thinking that Nitro will be able to cut it as a main event performer?

I've said it many times over the last few days, but I think now is the time to make something of William Regal. The man can talk, he can wrestle, and he's got the experience to help younger guys learn. Regal being bumped up to main event status should happen, anyway, so now there is one less main eventer to cater for, I think it is even more of a no-brainer.

I doubt it will happen, though.

Booker T should go back to SD, and Orton should move to ECW, and have Lashley start up a feud with Cena.


Here's my idea for a Cena heel turn: Have Maria conduct an interview with Cena, and she asks a really stupid question, and then he just goes off asking asking her why is she so stupid, and stuff like that. Then. at the end of the show have Maria come out and say something like "If anyone insults me again, they WILL be sorry." Something like that. The last shot of the show will show Cena laughing.

The next week, have Cena apoligize to her, but do it in a demeaning way, and have Maria slap him. After the main event Maria comes out and says "I warned you," and she starts walking to the ring. Have Lashley come through the crowd, and just lay out Cena.

I actually fear that Hogan could be back. As many times as Vince and Hogan say they won't work with each other, I think Vince might offer him a HUGE sum to return in some capacity.

I seriously doubt whether Jericho will ever step foot in a ring after all this. He's a father himself, and if he's dabbled down the same route as Benoit, then why risk it?

Oddly enough I've never been Neg rep'ed by KK, but on topic now, If Jericho would come back, he won't get any type of decent showing he'll once again fall into the role of foyle for HHH, and the likes. I'm sorry as Awesome as Jericho is, he'll get his Huge return Push, a POSSIBLE title Shot and then...he'll become one of the many upper mid carders yet again.

Besides that on his site he's said it will be at LEAST another year before he even thinks of coming back to wrestling.

I don't get what was wrong with JamesSteele's post, personally. Are people on his case because he is suggesting Chris Jericho return? The WWE have apparently made him an offer, and with their shortage of main event players getting greater, that offer will probably be represented, with a higher sum attached. I don't know if it's likely, but it's not neg rep worthy.

Triple H returning is one of the things I am least looking forward to right now. I'm sorry, but the guy got boring as a heel, and guess what, he's worse as a face. It's going to take some 2000/2001-esque work for me to get into Triple H when he returns.

Besides, it's not RAW that needs the help. ECW is the one that lost the main eventer, and SmackDown! is the show that is really short. Hell, it could be argued that the biggest stars ECW has at the moment are Rob Van Dam and Tommy Dreamer, and giving RVD is probably leaving, that is not a good sign for that show, either.

The WWE will probably offer RVD a whole bundle of cash to stick around. Maybe the Sid rumours are true, and we'll see him picked up for SmackDown!, or something? I could live with that. Sid would at least be interesting until he begins to lose his fresh factor, and we are reminded of how crappy his ring work is.

WWE has fucked themselves big time with not making young up and comers. Sure they force some guys down our throat, but they've been doing that since before Luger. It's the other guys that shined more than the Lugers that had staying power in the main event scene.

Regal comes to mind. He's amazing in the ring, on the mic, has charisma, can work a crowd, and willing to put anyone over. Even if he's meant to be a transitional champ, he can still be a good one. Regal can pull out some sick suplexes. It's not likely, but now's a good change to try him as a main eventer.

James, at least in this issue, I have to give it to Hero (and I never do because I think he's, well, OUT THERE ). Your post, pre-edit, was somewhat of a "SCROLL BAR STRETCH" thing than just a big gaping hole. Not that I personally gave a shit, but I'm sure some people's browsers would be giving a big fuck you to that and not load that, as weird and as unlikely as it sounds.

But yeah, both of you two are wrong. While Hero, I think, was overreacting (a page/scroll stretch is tame compared to some of the shit I've seen other people do here without consiquence), the hole was a pain in the ass to get through............oh fuck, that didn't come out right.
