Wrestling channel... who watches it?
Not sure if there is a thread on this, but every night on Friendly TV, they have wrestling on. Usually for an hour or two. One night it's NOAH, then NWA, ROH, FWA... etc... and some classic WWF as well.
Has anyone else been watching it? They've got some pretty good stuff going... and ROH has really impressed me loads. The channel for anyone wondering, is 268 on Sky Digital. It's always at either 6 or 7pm, plus they do wrestling early in the morning too (to early for me). |

I've always managed to miss it.
The one time I could've seen some CZW, the transmission had crashed during one of the night shows, so was just displaying a woman showing off her tits with a text thing at the bottom. |

Yeah I watch it as much as I can, normally record the 7am one.
I seem to be catching the same ones though. Ring of Honour has really impressed me as well, that scramble rules 4 way tag team thing was class. I also get to watch wrestlers that I previously only knew through name. TNA was worth a watch as well, good to see people formerly of WWE mixing it with new talent. Oh yes and AJ Styles rules. I wanted to watch CZW the other night but I was going out, there was some cage match on which might have been good. The camerawork wasn't too good on that though. I asked this before the forums were changed but didn't get to see any answers so again - Has anyone joined the Wrestling channel forums? |

I just watched some of ROH. I've seen it before and I have the same thing to say. It's the most overrated company in the world. It's good don't get me wrong but there is hardly any logic around the matches. I just watched this one tag team match and noticed there wasn't any pin attempts so I decided to count them from that point on. It like 7 minutes and about 50 "big" moves, there was exactly two pinning attempts. There were guys doing moves and then posing on the ropes. Pro wrestling is meant to suspend belief and this doesn't.

I was really impressed with the CZW footage I saw. There was a cool spot when someone was given a Death Valley Drop from the top of the cage to the floor. Later in the match there was the same guy (I think) was given another DVD off the top of a cage through a pane of glass stacked onto two chairs which were stacked onto a table.
On the FWA/ROH Frontiers of Honor show, there was this wrestler called Burchill who used some of the most amazing moves I had ever seen (for a man of his size). He was doing senton flips over the turnbuckle, and giving two people an overhead belly to belly simultaneously. This channel is exactly what he need to save us from the boredom of WWE. |
