If I try to use IE or Safari it won't load any web pages. It just gives me an error message ...
Safari can’t open the page “http://www.google.ca/”. The error is: “There was a problem communicating with the web proxy server (HTTP).” (CFURLErrorDomain:306) Please choose Help > Report Bugs to Apple, note the error number, and describe what you did before you saw this message.
seems like you have the perfect computer

Just stopping into The Tech Forum to say that Firefox is not a steaming pile of shit, but that I have converted to Google Chrome recently, and I have to say I enjoy having such a ridiculous amount of screen space. Here is an example.

i was thinking of trying chrome, but i don't want to lose my plug ins and shit
You can pretty easily achieve similar screen space with Firefox. Only thing that would be extra would be the tab bar, really, and I only say that because I haven't searched for plugins that would combine it.
Only thing about Chrome that really interests me is the "each tab is its own process" thing.
Example using only default features:

Edit: I actually like the idea of this, lol. Looking into customizing it further.

Part of it is that I didn't like Firefox 3.6
It added some 'meh' features, and it broke my glass theme. None of the other glass themes for Firefox looked good enough, so I said F that and downloaded Chrome. Really like it so far.
Wish I had as easy of a way to block on-page items like I did in Firefox.. just a simple transparent tab that appears on items on the page like the one with Adblock, so I could just click it and block that item from ever showing up again.

Will probably give 3.7 or 4.0 a shot when they get to that point. The built-in glass themes for Windows 7 should be nice, and the mock-ups I've seen made it look pretty similar to Chrome.

I haven't used that function since I worked on a help desk. 11 Years ago. Completely forgot it's relevance.
Good shit Penner.
