Awesome Kong has apparently been granted her release from TNA Wrestling.

She posted on Twitter that she wanted to thank Dixie Carter and all of the TNA employees for wishing her the best in her future endeavors.

She noted: I’d like to thank @tnaDixie and all of the employees at TNA for wishing me the very best in my future endeavors.

I guess this should not come as a surprise..... Fucking Bubba The Love Sponge..... Hopefully she will sign with WWE, but that may be wishful thinking on my part.....

I think Vince could do amazing things with her in the women's division. The first casualty of the Hogan era.... The TNA Knockouts division. We see less of them so The Nasty Boys can come back, Val Venis can pretend it's 1998 and he's relevant again, and Orlando Jordan can kiss dudes. Brilliant TNA.

WWE should hire Kong and book her as an IC/US Title threat, nevermind the Women's division. She has no credible women challengers, besides Beth Phoenix. (and no I won't buy Mickie James as a threat to Kong)

I see no way she would be relevant as a "diva" in the WWE. She doesn't fit, and when it comes to the divas you need to be hot or have big boobs and she only fits one of those two. Also I don't see how there is anyone credible to go against her. Beth, maybe. Gail, not the way she has been booked in the WWE.

Awesome Kong could generate money and good publicity for the WWE, I think. She could come in, and say that she refuses to be called a "Diva." She's a woman, but she's a "WWE Superstar." Introduce her after Beth Phoenix has just beaten Mickie James for the WWE Women's Championship, and talks about being the most dominant Diva in the WWE.

Kong winning the Women's Championship at first would not be a bad move. I hate it when someone comes in who is ideal for a division does not pay it any attention. Like how some cruiserweights were apparently "too big" for the Cruiserweight Title. She wins that, and can then have a few great matches here and there, and squash some of your "pretty-but-talentless" girls. They could bring up her pass with Gail Kim, which could make for an interesting series. And a match against Natalya would be brilliant: strength vs. pedigree.

Anyway, eventually you have to take the Women's Title off Kong, I guess. You can do that in a Triple Threat Match, a Battle Royal, or have someone beat Kong with someone else's help. But then you can give her a push towards the male ranks.

Kong is billed as being 270+lbs, I believe. Now, the only problem I have with female competitors is when they either lack ability, or they just don't have the size convincing enough to take on male opponents of the same ability. Kong, however, has got more size than a lot of male opponents, and has got plenty of ability. She's much better than Chyna, in my opinion. Give her the Intercontinental Title, or United States Title. And hell, if she's getting over, let her win a Breakout Battle Royal and challenge for the World Heavyweight Title.

WWE should bring her in and have the divas refuse to wrestle against her except Beth Phoenix. So the two form a bond based on mutual respect and become a dominant tag team and eventually take the belts from Showmiz.

I'd mark out for Kong defending the Women's Title against Natalya, with The Hart Dynasty constantly trying to help out Natalya. Kong would be smart enough to realise that they can't lay a hand on her, or else she wins via DQ, so she goes outside the ring and starts smacking the shit out of Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith and they can't do anything about it.

I can just imagine Matt Striker hyping her as being "more powerful than Oprah."

TNA officials wouldnt comment and her comments sounded an awful lot like she was intentionally trying to be sarcastic and poke fun using the "future endeavors" line. She seems to be leveraging herself against TNA with the idea that she will walk.

Kong v. Gail Kim was a great fucking match. I feel like it would be a waste to have her challenging men or playing a body guard. Just let her run through the shitty bottom tier divas like prune juice through Mae Young then set up something like Beth Phoenix v. Kong OR even better since she's still in shape and if given a proper heads up could probably still go.... Trish Stratus v. Kong for Wrestlemania in Atlanta. Imagine Kong saying she's conquered all the divas then Trish's music hits. Just as long as it's not a bra and panties match. Then you can turn her into a joke and let her be a body guard etc...

Plus imagine JR calling it: Kong just slammed her straight to hell!!! BAH GAWD THAT'S A BIG BITCH!!!

WWE will fuck it up. They don't like pushing people from other companies who've achieved some sort of success. They may show her some respect and push her in the beginning, but they will eventually use her to put over crappy divas with no talent.

WWE would have no idea what to do with her. The manager idea is the best hope for her if she did sign as she doesn't really fit the diva mold. Plus, as much as Vince seems to love hosses, he really doesn't seem to know what to do with them.

I agree with this guy. Does anybody really, really care about the women's division in either TNA or WWE? Is there ever a match where you go, "Oh this is the most anticipated match of the night." Sure I have a respect for what they do. But I mostly enjoy looking at them. Awesome Kong is nothing to look at.

Maybe in like 1990, I would have watched womens wrestling for the tits, but we have the internet now. Tits are a click away. I watch wrestling matches for the wrestling. Female competitors included.

Spot on. I'd probably throw Gail Kim in there as well but heaven knows they haven't actually let her 'wrestle' again yet.

When they first introduced the 'Divas' belt, I thought this could be good. Maybe they'd use the Women's Title for those that can 'wrestle' on RAW and the 'eye-candy' can duke it out for the Diva's Title on Smackdown. Alas, no.

Beth Phoenix, Natalya, Mickie James, Katie Lea and Gail Kim are all women on the active WWE roster who can put on good matches. Then there are some who aren't terrible, or are still learning the trade. Adding Amazing Kong in there is not a bad decision at all, in my opinion. Especially if they do the anti-Diva thing.

This is how you book her debut: Phoenix beats Michelle McCool at WrestleMania to win her third championship. On SmackDown!, she is so happy and calls herself the most dominant Diva in the WWE. Cue Amazing Kong appearing behind her, and Phoenix being all "Oh shit." Simple. You then waste no time in giving Kong a good showing against Beth Phoenix, and putting the Women's Title on her. The story can then be which woman has it in her to beat Kong.
