After reading the Smackdown spoilers, I have to say I am stumped as to why Drew McIntyre (a guy that is growing on me each week) and the current Intercontinental Champion is not on the card at Mania. Somehow I think he will get on the card, but I don't know how. What do you guys think?

I dont read spoilers but I would do the old fashioned way of getting him on the show. Like MVP is walking backstage before the MITB match when all of a sudden he gets attacked by a man with a tire iron and completely destroyed. The man with the tire iron then takes off his mask and says,

"If I cant be in this match, then this match wont happen lads"
And the he attacks Jack Swagger, Christian etc all before the match.

Then Vince comes out and says, "Its a travesty that Drew is not on this card. But Drew, I know your the future and for this reason, I am ADDING you to the match!"

The MITB then starts off with all participants beating up Drew, but later on he can STEAL the win when everybody is distracted. Drew + MITB briefcase = STAR.

When was the last time the IC Championship was defended at a Wrestlemania?

WM 25. It was the 20 second Mysterio vs JBL match

I don't care for him. I think other deserve a spot ahead of him. (Miz, Big Show, Morrison for example)

Yeah but all three of them have a match at Wrestlemania this year.

Yeah, but the Intercontinental Champion usually is involved with Mania in some way Shelton Benjamin at 21 and 22 (Money In The Bank), Umaga at WM23(Battle of the Billionaires vs. Bobby Lashley, Chris Jericho at WM24 (Money In The Bank) and last year JBL vs. Rey. Since McIntyre is liked backstage and Sheamus will be at Mania, I don't see why McIntyre can't, he is a much better wrestler than Sheamus.

Drew McIntyre once again gets pissed that he didn’t get in Money In The Bank and now it’s filled up, so on next week’s SmackDown, he has a match against Goldust. Goldust wins and gets the belt.

A rematch happens at WrestleMania, with McIntyre trying to prove his worth.

I wouldn't be suprised if..

a) He gets added by Vince as a 9th entrant

b) He does a run-in during the match and plants the seed for a fued

Look at the SmackDown! roster. There is one guy there that is over with the fans, is considered an "attraction" by the WWE, and is yet to be on the card. The match may not be the best ever (unless McIntyre has got Dolph Ziggler genes to work with big men, but his matches with Kane, while solid, did not give that impression), but I think we'll see The Great Khali challenge Drew McIntyre for the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania.

McIntyre going over Khali will give him a huge boost in crediblity. It'd also do the Intercontinental Title good to be defended against a former World Heavyweight Champion. And even if McIntyre does not win the match, Khali will make whoever defeats him look good, and it's not like it's the end of the world for McIntyre. He was beaten by a fucking giant with a hot wife -- it happens.

To be honest I think there are quite a few matches on this years card, and they won't be adding another one.
It's much more likely to see him factored into the card somehow during MITB.

There are about 10 matches already. I think it was between a tag title match, or an IC title match. There's not really room for both, and obviously Miz/Big Show took top priority.

Batista vs Cena, Shawn vs Taker, Edge vs Jericho, Vince vs Bret, HHH vs Sheamus, Legacy Match, CM Punk vs Rey, MITB, Tag Titles

That's 9 matches in total, and there may even be a women's match added. That's probably the most we've seen since Wrestlemania 20.
Not to mention most, if not all, of those matches deserve decent time.

Nothing against Drew, Khali, or the Intercontinental Title, but there's just not room. Hopefully they put Drew as a 9th entrant in MITB.

Man Ziggler had some good matches with Kane

I'd just like to add that the card is at least 9 matches deep, and I care about all of the matches. There's not a real weak spot on the card to be honest.
The show will have to deliver on what it promises, but on paper it's one of the best Wrestlemania cards I've seen.

Even great cards like Wrestlemania 19 and 20 had a few meaningless tag matches or diva clusterfucks here and there.
This card is batting 1000 so far.

I can still see Drew McIntyre making the card, but can’t see him being in Money In The Bank with Kofi Kingston not on the card yet. Have The Miz drop the United States title to Kingston and have a Title vs. Title Match.

I think it's pretty safe to say that Kofi Kingston is taking that 8th spot.

What I meant was McIntyre could get added to MITB as a 9th entrant by Vince

That would actually not be so bad. I do wish to see the IC Title defended, but that would be great for McIntyre's heat as "Vince's boy." Christian vs. Ziggler vs. Kane vs. Benjamin vs. Swagger vs. MVP vs. Kingston vs. McIntyre -- it works. It also allows them to promote Money in the Bank as the "biggest MITB of all-time!" Suddenly, McIntyre would also be my favourite to win the match.

I'd like them to get rid off the Divas match, but oh well, I don't expect it to happen. I guess there are some horny teenagers that want to see it.

I don't think there is one yet. It would kind of suprise me if there wasn't, but with 9 matches already maybe they'll just leave it be.

note: Punk vs Rey, Sheamus vs HHH, and Orton/Legacy haven't been announced yet, but all 3 are sure things

I think I saw a Divas match mentioned in a thread here somewhere, but I might be wrong.

No idea who the Divas fighting for title are, anyway.

they might do a six pack challege with Khali, Finlay,Big Zeke, Gallows, and Vance Author or Kozlov or maybe a battle royal during the preshow winning facing McIntyre during Mania simular to the ECW title match at wrestlimania 24 just a longer title match that way McIntyre can face someone on raw ( like Broune,Ryder,Henry) or maybe but not likely from NXT (Danielson)
