is there a delay ( I hear roughly 7 seconds) on all live shows for censors or just certain ones?

I don't think it's all TV.

It's only certain ones. Although, over the last four months, most American live TV has been delayed because of the stupid FCC overreacting to Janet Jackson's breast.

Well, in fairness, the FCC's spineless. They reacted to corporate outrage, which was a reaction to public outrage.
Of course, I think people are getting really bent out of shape over this. This has been a perfect excuse to crack down on "obscenity" to the point of censorship. Of course, we're just protecting the kids...
After all, Howard Stern airs at like 11 at night around here. Prime time for the kids to be watching...:|

Raw has the 7 second delay. That's probably where you heard that number.

Delay numbers I've heard range from 5 to 15 seconds.
7 seconds is a pretty solid timeframe...15 seconds is overkill.
Not that I really care. It's either live or it's not. A "Live Delay" is not a live show.

yea most live shows do have a delay before its shown so they can edit out any bad content that might of accidently made its way on camera on is said. That just takes all the fun away of watching something live. The whole point is so you can hope to see something your didnt expect to happen but when it happens its either a blur or a beep and that just plain sucks.

Chapelle should do a live airing of his show. There isn't a censor alive who could catch it all.

I agree with you, but the US, and Canada as well, to a certain extent, aren't as open about nudity and sexuality as Europe. :-\

Well, I think we're as open, it's just that we're incredibly more negative as a culture.

You lot can see REAL porn on TV. We can't.

What the hell is Brown doing now?
Er, anyway did you hear about the police the next day saying that it was all a complete fake? That really made me laugh. Apparently he used blank bullets, despite saying through the entire broadcast that blank bullets will still kill you at point blank range.
