who would you like to see make a return to the WWE?
my list

Dean Malenko: Dean could have great matches with Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle

Essa Rios: in my opinon the best cruiserweight of all time

Jeff Hardy: he could reunite Team Xtreme or have another feud with Matt

BG James: I'd love to see BG James AKA Road Dogg return. it's obvious that Billy Gunn is going nowhere as a singles wrestler and the tag team division could do with having a team like the New Age Outlaws in it.

Raven: could you imagine if the WWE actually gave him some time to shine? think of the matches he could have with Benoit or Geurrero. we saw him feud with Benoit in WCW, and needless to say that was a classic.

post who you want to see make a return

I'd def like to see Jeff Hardy and Road Dogg return to reform their teams. I'd also like to see Raven back and get a better push, or even join a new ministry. I wouldn't mind seeing Ken Shamrock around on Smackdown, and Essa Rios and Taka would make nice additions to the Cruiserweight division.
I'll have to give it more thought, I know there are good names that aren't coming to me right now...

Essa Rios: in my opinon the best cruiserweight of all time

You are entitled to an opinion dude but in mine, Essa Rios wasn't even the best crusierweight in the WWE during his stay there. I watch the odd Mexican lucha tape still and yeah he has a few flashy moves but he can't work.

Rey Misterio Jr. revolutionised this business like nobody I have ever seen. He debuted at 16 and was the talk of the industry by the time he was 20. He was also one coversation away from being labeled as a midget wrestler because of his lack of height.

Yeah, Essa Rios may be one the better Lightheavyweight champs in WWE history, because there were so few and he stood out among them, but the cruiserweights of wcw, and now SD are def better. It just seems like they have a lot of cruiserweights on SD and they really only utilize Rey Mysterio and Chavo, and it looks like now Spike Dudley.

Malenko is retired. I'd like to see him get one more run, but I doubt it. The WWE couldn't use hims properly from the get go. Same goes for Raven...he's getting a run at the NWA title right now. He's bettter off staying gone.

I always like Perry Saturn's look and moveset. Wouldn't mind see him come back. AND "Above Average" Mike Sanders..not really a return per se, but he'd be great as a mouthpiece.

Yes, let's bring back bad workers and use them to reunite their respective fads, which worked at one point, but won't ever work again.

Dink: I really enjoyed his charisma and "larger then life" attitude he brought to the table. Dink inspired many midget clowns all around the world by perfecting his craft in the wrestling ring. I loved watching him run around the ring, mocking heel wrestlers as they tried to catch him. Dink would always overcome though, just as he overcame the odds at WM 10 when he was placed in a mixed tag match. You couldn't help but cheer for the Dinkster in this wonderous match. I yearn for many more Dink matches in the near future. Please stop denying me the pleasure Mr. McMahon.

I was gonna say that, but you beat me to it. I'm not saying Essa Rios was bad or anything, but there are far better cruiserweights than him. Juventud Guerrera comes to mind, also Rey Mysterio as others have mentioned. If you want to start throwing out the words "best ever," everybody knows the best cruiserweight ever was Chris Jericho :D

I don't know what they're thinking if they don't put Grand Master Sexay on Smackdown now. And if they got Road Dogg, and Matt and Jeff, they're tag division would be more than set.

True, but Grand Master Sexay as a singles wrestler with the same gimmick, and an attempt at Too Cool with Rikishi as a member of the tag team instead of as an ally is the same thing only worse, if they're gonna use old gimmicks they should at least do them right and add something to the starving smackdown tag division.

Well, there's not much they can do. Neither Rikishi or S2H would really go much of anywhere if they tried to avoid their gimmicks, and the same can be said to some extent for GMS.

Personally, I'd like to see 'em all just fired or something.

Haha, you may be right about firing them, but Smackdown will take anything they can get for tag teams.
Rikishi was getting over with the fans pretty good and won the IC belt in 2000, then they ruined him with a push that just wasn't right for him. Anyways, he doesn't seem to be going anywhere...
Smackdown has a lot of probelms that need fixing.

Id Love to see 'The Other half of the Radicalz' Perry Saturn (Minus Moppy) and Dean (Man of 1000 holds) Malenko back in the WWE Very unlikely to happen I know but Malenko was completely misused, and Saturn was finished after the Moppy angle, where could he go from there aside from Burger King?

I want Sting to go to Smackdown! and fight the Undertaker, Bret Hart to go to Raw so he can fight Shawn Michaels, then Chris Benoit.

Smackdown needs to build up Tag Teams instead of bombarding us with old ones. I don't give a damn about the Dudleyz, and II Cool sucked the first time around. They were a novelty, period.

And I don't mean slap some random guys together, make it work. The worst move so far was bringing over the Raw Tag Champs and turrning one heel. You've got a whole tag team coming in, already established, and you split them? :wtf: Then you bring in the Dudleyz, who are pretty overrated. Not to mention, while the JBL deal with Bradshaw works pretty well, they killed another longstanding tag team (not one of my favorites). And then...THE WORLD'S GREATEST TAGE TEAM!!!!!! how many teams have been split in the course of like a month?

I think they need to start pairing people up in some sensible way.

Moongoose Mcqueen
04-13-2004, 09:16 PM
Ya, I'd love Sting on Smackdown if he signed, not neccesarily just for an angle with the Undertaker or anyone, just because they need more big names, and that would be an exciting new addition and draw.

The whole thing with breaking up Booker T and RVD and the APA is a tough situation. On one hand they broke up two teams that would do wonders for the tag division, but on the other hand, the whole show is struggling from pillar to post and they needed main eventers. I say they utilize RVD better.
I agree that they shouldn't just slap guys together, but in some cases it can work, if they're not gonna do anything with RVD, pair him up with Rey Mysterio or something, like they did with Edge.

Shamrock would fit in nicely on Smackdown.

Also I Know It's completely impossible but I want Mr Perfect back He'd have Great matches with someone like Angle or Benoit

Problem is, if you use Rey Rey, there's one less talented CW in the division.

Definitely, hes the superstar of that division, but it can survive without him and by using the other members better than the other divisions are surviving. The tag team division is in shambles, John Cena doesn't have real solid competition for the US belt other than other upcoming talent, and the main event seems to be in trouble. Something about the show, I can't put my finger on it exactly, but its just coming off as drab, and boring. Anyone agree?
I think its a combination of needing to utilize the talent they have better and add a few names here and there. Plus a little retuning of the show itself wouldn't hurt.

Kane Knight
04-13-2004, 09:46 PM
I think the biggest problem smakcdown has is how much it's still hurting for talent.

It's hard to make a show interesting without enough names to book it around.

The problem is, they've got msot of my faves, so I'll still watch it religiously.

Also, they do have some stars on the rise, but they're still hurting. Angle's not gonna wrestle for a while, they lost Lesnar, Benoit moved to Raw with no actual trade in talent, 'Taker's not even on TV...

Moongoose Mcqueen
04-13-2004, 09:52 PM
Taker should be on tv. And Brocks leaving and Angles injury hurts them immensely. And they should utilize RVD and others better. But they should also get 1 or 2 more decent names. Its wishful thinking, but Sting and maybe the sending of Kane to smackdown as a heel and possible continuing of the fued with Kane/Taker/Vince would help out.

Forgive me for sounding stupid here, but somebody mentioned David Arquette. I never saw the angle, so I don't know this for sure, but is that the actor David Arquette who is married to Cortney Cox? Did that 8-Legged Freaks movie a while back? Same guy? If it isn't forgive me. I ask dumb questions from time to time.

Sending Christian to Smackdown after the Jericho fued would work IMO he will have established himself as a heel and would make a much better opponent to Eddie than JBL although I think Bradshaw is doing a pretty decent JOB as a main event heel so far I can't see it continuing past his match with Eddie

Yes, you're right. And he was WCW champion, and WCW went out of business and the two have a lot to do with eachother, but thats neither here nor there.
