View Full Version : WTF @ Hogan and Flair
Am I the only who thinks these guys are just flat out sad to watch in the ring at this point??
I mean, I get what they're trying to do, but god damn that was fucking brutal to watch.

How dare you complain, you must watch whatever wrestling shows tell you to watch and not say anything negative, damnit!
I stay away from the Raw/PPV/TNA threads for a reason.

It was real sad watching Hogan try to move around. I mean, Flair can still bump, and in all fairness he has looked like he is seventy for the last twenty years. But Hogan yeah, very sad.

They're alright for the most part until 'something happens' and then they tend to veer drastically in one direction or another
Also, log into Last.fm and accept my friend request you bastard
Don't get me wrong, this isn't meant to be a "Hogan is the devil" thread, its just that watching Flair and Hogan tonight made me sad for some reason.

Or I could just watch it and not bother to read what RVD450jimmypardeep4ever454561651 has to say.

nah, I agree with you here. You know I don't mind Hogan and the older guys wrestling and I was entertained tonight, but the blood was ridiculous. When the older guys have to wear the crimson mask to get the match over, I can't stand that. I think they had a huge purpose being there, but AJ and Abyss should of carried the match.

I wouldn't really say that was whining though
I don't think you're getting it, my friend.

what did you think of Sting tonight? I really liked every single segment of his tonight. He was solid
I think the low point of Impact was definitley the performance of Hogan/Flair, but I wasn't too dissapointed as I didn't get my hopes that high, I knew it'd be sloppy just judging from their most recent matches.

Yeah, they found a good way to make a totally lovable guy pretty well hated. Loved it.

Both guys still work well as managers for both Abyss and Styles and still can cut good promos (especially Flair when he's all upset). They only are wrestling to help sell TNA as a Monday Night threat and to push the feud but I can see how it might become a problem if every week they are wrestling considering their age and limits.

I fucking loved Sting tonight, awesome heel turn!
RVD in TNA!

Way to totally miss the point of this thread.
My nitpicking comment was directed at people who complain about stupid minute details that don't even matter, not the actual MATCHES.

You mean like the several posts dedicated to Spike cutting out before Jeff could hit the Swanton?

They complained like it was a major fuck up. God forbid people don't get to see the rest of a move that had no effect on anything

He definitely played the heel well. I like the concept.
What I didn't like at all is that they brought RVD in and had him squash him, only to get his ass beaten down right after.
It became all about Sting and Hogan, while RVD laid helpless in the ring.
Love RVD, so I hope they rebound with that. It just doesn't suprise me to see what should be a big moment for TNA and a new signing being all about Sting and Hogan.

You need to learn not to care about those comments, people will complain about anything at certain times. There wasn't much complaining though from what i saw.(in the raw thread)
Yeah, I didn't like how RVD basically laid around for like 5 minutes. He came in strong then laid around, didn't make much sense.

RVD vs Sting in the future?

I DON'T care which is why I don't read the threads. It's just something I pointed out that you can't seem to let go of.

thought the same thing. I was fine with Sting attacking RVD over and over, but keep the focus on RVD, not Hogan. Hogan had no real reason at all to even be out there. That segment should of left the fans to want RVD to get revenge on Sting, not Hogan to get revenge for him.

If Flair hasn't pawned off that watch yet, I hope he gave it back to Shawn.
I am not even sure Sting is going to be a perma-player, so let him be!
Oh and Hogan still sucks.. Did he do the "pumpin' " tonight with the blood all over?

Didn't even need to read the many posts above... TNA Sucked it up BAD tonight... An hour and a half focused on Hogan and his BS... About 30 minutes focused on the younger talent... Need we say more? WCW repeat here we come...
Angle = Awesome...
Wolfe = Awesome...
Hell anyone under 40 = awesome...
They wil NEVER survive with that shit on Mondays... And I watched every minute hoping for the benefit of the doubt... Never came... Very sad...

P.S. RVD was cool... but to have him have the crap beat out of him for 15 minutes by Sting... pure BS...
Hardy = Meh... He's going to jail...
Moore + an automatic X division match = BS & Meh...
Snore TNA... Snore... And I have been on your bandwagon a LONGTIME...

Flair was awesome he looked jacked, probably on roids. Who cares, let him do what he wants.
Hogan looked like a mess but it worked to an extent, we all know how broken down he is.
Abyss looked fat as hell, he needs to loose weight.
Flair's promo on the ramp was killer, that was some NWA shit.

Flair and Hogan both did great last night.
Obviously there were a few bad spots, but A) They are old and B) They haven't been in a ring in forever AND C) I am 100% positive we saw them taking it easy, because lets face it - they need to, and they also need to save better efforts for TNA PPV's in the future.
No sense going out and hurting yourself on 'TNA's debut night' - and then not being able to perform for them down the road. They set a good stage for Sting, AJ, Abyss, Hardy, Wolfe and D'Angelo. They could have done better with RVD, but that definitely leaves a bit of room for him on next weeks show, etc. to build for a PPV and whatnot.

Just caught a replay...and Hogan looked cracked out of his mind for some reason.
If what Hogan and Flair did last night passed off as "fine" or "entertaining" then I don't want to see these people complaining about WWE ever again.

And yet I am actually shuddering at the thought that more people like TNA last night mainly because of Hogan and Flair getting bloody!

The whole deal with Rob Van Dam really depends on what they do next week to follow it up.
If they have Rob Van Dam do nothing, then we can complain.
Now if Rob Van Dam comes out and Van Terminates Sting and leaves him a bloody fucking mess. Its on!
