View Full Version : Where do you put Kofi for Wrestlemania?

Question remains, since Kofi has yet to be placed into a spot for Wrestlemania, where do you put him? Do you make him Orton's tag partner and have the 2 of them go against Legacy? Do you say screw 8 guys in MitB and toss him into the fray as well? I mean, for a guy who just last month was in a title match, and who is fairly well over and has recently started coming into his own in the WWE, why would you leave him off the card? This makes no sense to me. I don't know where the WWE is going with him, but if a guy like R-Truth can get onto the WM card, why the fuck can't Kofi Kingston?

Ok I am not a fan of tagging Kofi with Orton. It will seem so forced. The 2 on 1 match from RAW was awesome and would not mind to see something similar at Wrestlemania.

As far as i'm concerned Kofi can have the dark match. I like him and all but the card is pretty damn stacked. He didn't make MITB so I don't wanna just toss him into a match he doesn't belong in.

Theory going around is that Orton got a hand in holding him down as of late because of that match a few weeks back in which Randy yelled "STUPID". Clip was posted in the Raw thread last night.

Other than that, I don't know. U.S. title seems up for grabs, but Kofi has held that already and he's destined for great things. That run-in last night during Vince/Cena may be a sign for something....

Yea, but I don't see the WWE making Miz defend both titles on the same card. Speaking of which, has Miz defended the US Title against anyone other than MVP lately?

I dunno what else you have him do. They've already announced 7 official matches, and you know Orton and Mysterio/Punk will account for two more, so are you really going to schedule a 10th match just for Kofi?

But seeing as how they put Bourne in MITB, you've gotta figure they have something planned for Kofi because you know creative didn't intentionally choose to put the spot monkey with no shot at winning in the match over the guy who fans think could actually win it.

<font color=goldenrod>Yeah, I can see McIntyre coming out on SmackDown and saying by order of Vince, he is still undefeated and will be the 9th MITB participant or something.

And then, on next week's Raw, Austin says there should be 10 per show so Kofi has a qualifier and gets in.

10 guys in MITB is a bit ridiculous though.</font>

See, I was thinking of that too. Why would you keep guys like Kofi and McIntyre off the card? McIntyre is being paraded as the "future" of the business by Vince, yet he doesn't get a spot at WM? Something about that doesn't add up. Same with Kofi. If anything, take Hardy and Swagger out of the MITB and add Kofi and McIntyre in, or just ad the two and make it a 10 man MITB. I mean yeah, it'd be a giant clusterfuck, but as someone previously stated here on the boards, it's 2010, so be different. Have 10 guys in the MITB.

I say just add him to the MITB. Teaming him w/Orton would make no sense. Putting him against McIntyre will be a thrown together match that I don't want to see.

No offense, but the 8th (and final) spot was claimed by Evan Bourne last night as he picked up a win over Regal. I honestly don't see why he needs to be on the televised card. Hell, let him be a part of the dark match attraction.

So make him this years MizMo vs. The Colons for the tag titles? :shifty:

None taken. I was going on the above ideas if they make it a 10 man MITB then he could be added

I'm more concerned about McIntyre not making the card than Kofi. I think they have something up their sleeves for McIntyre though I'm sure. Thrilled Bourne made it in to MITB :) Hope he has the spotlight.

What Would Kevin Do?

I'd be all for doing Orton and Kofi vs Legacy, because it actually makes sense.

The announcers keep going on about how Kofi is different since his feud with Orton, so play it up. Orton mentored Legacy, but in an odd way, he also mentored Kofi. Plus, Orton and Kofi wouldn't have to like each other. Kofi could just save Orton's ass on Raw, and say "I hate them, I hate you, but what I don't hate is a spot on the Wrestlemania card."

I think it would work. Then at Mania, Orton and Kofi can win, Kofi can blast Orton, only to get shipped to Smackdown in the draft. Everybody wins.

I like this...add some tension to Kofi being buried by Orton, and being sent to Raw...This kind of worked shoot could be a welcome addition to WWETV

I have a sinking suspicion that IF McIntyre doesn't get a match at WM, that he will challenge, and beat, whoever does win the MitB and take the case from them. Ala Edge beating Kennedy for it the year Kennedy won MitB. If they go this route, and Christian wins the MitB (He's basically the odds on favorite at the moment), McIntyre would draw so much fucking heat, it wouldn't be funny. I can see it being good for business, but honestly, don't want to see Christian getting screwed this way.

How bout they have him westle himself? It would probably be more entertaining then half the card.

Kofi/Orton vs Legacy ends when Orton refuses to tag in, and yells "STUPID! STUPID!" and then Legacy beats Kofi down 3 on 1 and bury him somewhere outside the arena.

It'd be cool to see him take Kane's place in MITB somehow (as I honestly don't care about seeing Kane in this match).

I don't care about McIntyre, so that match is a no-no for me, and I'd much rather the Legacy match be a triple threat, just to add some variation to the types of macthes on the card.

About the only thing that does make sense is for Kofi Kingston to forge an unlikely alliance with Randy Orton to face Legacy. The hard thing to believe about that is that it would make two tag team matches for WrestleMania.

I think you are getting the Triple Threat with the Women's Title scene. I can definitely see Michelle McCool defending the title against both Beth Phoenix and Mickie Jame, which is a shame, because the match should be Mickie James vs. Beth Phoenix, with the Legacy stuff indeed being a Triple Threat. Kofi Kingston making Money in the Bank was a fairly obvious call, too.

Kofi Kingston will be on the WrestleMania card, though. It doesn't make sense for him not to be. Even if he is getting punished (which I do not believe), then I can just see him taking the fall in his tag team match, or not being the one to get the pin.

I like your idea of putting 10 guys in MITB since it is 2010, notice on RAW they didn't say that Money In The Bank was complete, so that leads me to believe Kofi and Drew (two of my favorites in the company) could still be in. I know alot of people like Matt Hardy, but I I haven't liked him for a long time, the last time was 2003. I really don't see what is so good about Matt at all. I am glad that Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler are in the match though.

Not that I agree with teaming Kofi with Orton, but how is that worse than puting R-Truth with Morrison and giving them a title shot at Mania?

I am just worried that 10 people would be way too many people in the MITB match, and somebody might get hurt seriously from an over-choreographed 10-person Shooting Star Press Superplex off a 50ft ladder.

I would put Kofi in the MITB to be perfectly honest.

I actually can't take credit for the idea as someone else on here posted the idea, I just forgot who. As for mentioning it, I'm pretty sure they did say it before the Regal/Bourne match that this would be the last spot in the MitB.

Of those choices, put him in the Money in the Bank even if it means taking out a wrestler using a storyline injury or adding him as the 10th guy.

Not really seeing him in a Intercontinental title match since if he wins, RAW either would have both of the 2nd tier belts or Kofi moves to Smackdown to defend the belt (or vise versa for Drew McIntyre).

I would have Kofi face Miz after his tag match. Like some authority figure comes out after the tag match and says that miz hasn't defended the US title however long it's been, and if he doesn't defend it tonight, he gets stripped of the title. Then kofi comes out and beats him in a minute because miz is so exausted.

Gives Kofi something to do at wrestlemania, and it can start a feud with miz, who can say he was screwed.

Well, Teddy Long does like to make The Miz defend his US Title against guys of the darker persuassion at PPV's, so why should WM be any different?
