Holy shit! When you consider the fact that Shawn took five years off, Mark Henry is the third longest tenured guy on the WWE roster after Trips and Taker. HOW? WHY?

I can only think of three times he got a real push... Nation, Sexual Chocolate (Mae Young miscarries a hand), and, after P.S. Hayes claimed to be more in touch with Mark Henry's root than Mark Henry, he started calling himself a gorilla and got the ECW strap.

What is it about him that's allowed him to stay on the roster for so long, and don't say size because if that was the case Earthquake would be a damn hall of famer.

They signed him to a 10-year contract in 1996. When that was up they re-signed him.

And he has a lifelock endorsement! He has a ring entrace done by fucking Oscar Winners! He's the Franchise, without fucking the bosses daughter.

Well, I'm glad we got to the bottom of this in a timely fashion.

I think my post would have been better at number 3 than number 4. Krimzon, delete your post and repost it.

I'm pretty sure his title shots and Wrestlemania fued with Taker in early 2006 can be considered a push

They really missed an opportunity to turn Mark Henry heel on RAW, since he's done nothing as a face in awhile. He should've just walked out and beat Cena down without having a problem with it. Kofi Kingston shows up and goes at it with Henry, who powerbombs Kingston and hits Cena with the World's Strongest Slam. Vince covers Cena and gets the pin. After the match, Henry and Vince celebrate and stand over Cena as RAW goes off the air.

Next week on RAW, Henry accompanies Vince to the ring for the contract signing with Bret Hart and Stone Cold Steve Austin (interesting to note that Henry was also around during the Attitude era). Henry becomes Vince's muscle and tries to help Vince beat Hart at WrestleMania, only to get intercepted and superkicked by Shawn Michaels, who would've just lost to The Undertaker.

At least it would get Henry on the WM card, which it appears he won't be.

I think Mark Henry has sucked fat, FAT balls since about 2000 but this actually sounds pretty cool, could still happen if MVP mentions it to Mark on Raw, maybe Vince overhears and tells Mark he was impressive leading into your bit at the contract signing. HBK bit is a tad overkill tho especially if he's just retired

He's around becuase, especially as of late, he's served for a decent big man who can be inserted into a fued or title picture and still be seen a s legit threat. He got pushed for a title shot against Angle years back, and was also put into a match with Taker at Mania.

Not to mention, he served well as the monster champion on ECW. Henry's workrate is far from great, but he serves his purpose well.

Mark Henry's talent has been wasted over the years.

Yeah, but Hart is obviously winning, and if someone tries to interfere on behalf of Vince, somebody has to interfere on behalf of Hart, and Michaels would make the most sense, not to mention he's supposed to be gone until next year. If he really is going to be leaving for a year, he should lose to The Undertaker before interfering in the match, as he and Hart could celebrate in the ring afterwards and give the crowd a feel good moment before Michaels leaves.

HBK will have his feelgood moment already though when he makes Taker swallow his teeth :D

And he's going to play the Kool Aid Man in the upcoming Kool Aid: The Movie

..

or maybe he's not..it is so ridiculous that they'd ask Mark Henry to play the Kool Aid Man.

What if Shawn Michaels wins, then I'll leave, but when The Undertaker actually does win, then you leave?

I do think that Henry has been a little underused latly and the heel turn idea was good but I think considering what's happened to most guys from his era of wrestling Henry should just be happy with what he's got

Mark Henry is a good jobber, and they don't make him work too hard, I think they have kind of a mutual thing going on.

Personally I love his association with MVP. I truly believe he can do wonders as a United-States Champion.

He was a good ECW Champion, that was the first remarkable thing he did in WWE IMO, other than finding Cloudy's penis. Since his shocking face turn last year he has done the best work he ever has IMO. It's weird though, I don't view him as a veteran, even though he has worked for WWE since 1996.
