Pretty funny ep to start the season off!

I hope they don't always format their episodes to be like, 'hey we're really current all the time', I miss some of the epic stories they come up with when they were not mocking current affairs and stuff etc etc.

They usually start the season with a "timely" episode then just sprinkle them throughout the season.

Well let's face it, this was a story you know they wanted to do as soon as everything came out on Tiger.

From past interviews, they basically have a storage place that contains finished but un-aired episodes that would be random in topic and used when their current ideas or themes dries up in a season. They end up making a couple of extra episodes per season just to be stored away for future seasons.

This is how Imagination Land came to be. It was originally supposed to be the next movie but they didn't have any ideas so they just used it.

Yeah I think it's simply because although she is adored by people all over the world, men and women, there is also the idea that she is pretty fugly.

I really don't think Comedy Central did it. They started bleeping Tom Cruise's name after he was in the goo transfer and they bleeped Kyle's "I learned something today" speech too. Those jokes wouldn't make sense unless they planned to bleep Muhammad's name from the start.

I'm guessing South Park's plan was to censor it all along just to show how ridiculous the whole situation is.

Supposedly not:

In the 14 years we've been doing South Park we have never done a show that we couldn't stand behind. We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn't some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. In fact, Kyle's customary final speech was about intimidation and fear. It didn't mention Muhammad at all but it got bleeped too. We'll be back next week with a whole new show about something completely different and we'll see what happens to it.

Don't really believe they wouldn't immediately release a transcript of what was meant to be said if they found it that ridiculous mind.

Supreme Olajuwon
04-22-2010, 05:58 PM
I don't believe it. Then bleeping Tom Cruise's name makes no sense.

Xero
04-22-2010, 06:08 PM
Yeah no way the bleeping of his name wasn't intentional. It's along the lines of the censor bar.

And Kyle's speech fit too perfectly. If Comedy Central DID do this, it just made it funnier.

Jon Kano
04-22-2010, 07:50 PM
What are you lot talking about? that they were made to censor something? come on. I doubt they would've kept it like that if they knew they couldn't do it. They woulda just re made the scene and done something. It was intentional.

Its so fucking rich that they just do this shit because they know they can, fair enough. But for fuck's sake, people wait during the gaps between seasons, then there are times when they have mini-breaks, then weeks where some bullshit like news or football changes the slot, NOW they are splitting seasons. And its not just with SP, they have been experimenting and bullshitting with it for years. Like in season 3 of LOST, they had a months break between episode 5/6 to 7/8.

Pisses me off.

Lui Kang

I guess McDonald's has the best hamburgers in the world too...

Not a good analogy.

McDonald's success can be directly attributed to the fact that they own someone of the best Real Estate in the world. Ray Kroc's primary business was never Fast Food...it was Real Estate. Ditto for Starbucks. Both franchises simply invested in Real Estate that were found on some of the busiest and most popular intersections. The convenience of the locations brought in more customers. The revenue generated from those customers were put into Marketing campaigns (well - more specifically in McDonalds' case).

The Marketing System, Real Estate, and ambience is what made franchises like McDonalds and Starbucks popular. Television is a different breed of cat. With a show like Family Guy, people will either love...or they won't.

Unfortunately - people like you and Supreme seem to automatically dislike something for the simple fact that it's popular...and that's wrong. It's a sign of lack of intelligence.

Supreme Olajuwon
10-14-2010, 01:05 PM

Maybe so, but your original statement was still irresponsible.

You claim that "Family Guy is terrible" when in actuality, it is still one of the most popular shows out there. Your statement should have read, "In my opinion, Family Guy is terrible." I enjoyed It's A Jersey Thing, but I can say that so far on this run I'm a little dissapointed in the episodes.

Poor And Stupid was okay, but in the end was lame. It's A Jersey Thing was good because it made fun of Jersey Shore and Housewives of New Jersey, but with so much material that they can do these two topics are lame.

I mean you have so much they can make fun of...

Lindsay Lohan, the Chilean Miners, Jesse James dumping a great chick for a lame ass bitch with a forehead tattoo, Mel Gibson, Gloria Alldred, Bret Michaels, True Blood, T.I. getting busted with Sizzurp or Ecstasy.

There's so many better topics. I'm really hoping that the next episode is greatness beyond great because if not I will be sorely dissapointed in Matt and Trey. They're so much better.

Maybe they've eased up a bit on poking fun at people after the whole Muhammed thing? Who knows? Death threats affect a person.

Also, why are they getting death threats while Bill O'Rielly says "Muslims killed us on 9/11" and gets away with it? WTF?!!!

Pretty "LMAO" episode. Can't think of a real rofl moment though. Maybe Hasselbeck or Saito being shot

The episode was great especially with the Pizza guy part going into the dream to find who ordered the pizza and Cartman doing the crazy motion and sounds to Stan.

Was kinda boring at first, but got kind of rofl towards the middle. Randy and the Inception stuff was hilarious.
