How much of that would people consider a legit shoot? Obviously scripted to a large extent but you have to feel that Heyman really got some pent up feelings unbottled in that segment.

Definitely.

And if you wouldn't take that opportunity to turn that into a worked-shoot, you'd be crazy. You may never get another chance to vent your feelings about that person, not only to their face - but in front of the world.

Not to mention how much that adds to something like that.

At least it makes it feel real.

Agreed, its easily one of the most real promos ive seen in wrestling, if not the most real.

Holy fuck. Never actually saw this somehow.

Everything Heyman said is a shoot for sure. I'm sure he ran a lot of the talking points past Vince, but it's all the truth. I love how Vince just stands there, almost in awe and uncomfortable about it.

One of the best rants ever.

wow..just wow. I remember seeing this years ago but it does not have as big of an impact as it does now.

Heyman managed to get so much heat out of eleven minutes of talking, incredible.

Heyman and Cornette, along with James Mitchell - are three of the best promo guys ever.

I'm kinda surprised Vince let that go on.

I would have loved to see Vince try and respond to that, to anyone with a clue theres no denying anything of what Heyman said. Vince however is on another planet and seems to think he came up with everything himself.

I remember thinking at that time that the Heyman promo was the best promo of 2001...that or the Ric Flair promo on the last Nitro.

Did I imagine it at the time or did Taz flip out on Austin one time during the Invasion angle when Austin was constantly making an example of Taz?

No, I don't think so because that was the very beginning.

Yeah, it was during a promo where the entire alliance was in the ring.

Yeah it might have been that or it might have just been a video package of Austin/Tazz interactions at the time. Austin/Tazz should have been built up a bit more and had a good match from it, I only remember a brief match on Raw.

Yeah, after a few altercations, Tazz was jobbed out to Austin in a few minutes on Raw.
