Not sure if anyone has thought of this yet so I'll throw it out there.

Michaels is booked to wrestle Taker at Mania, and the stipulation is, of course, streak vs. career. For the last few weeks we've all heard from the dirt sheets about HBK going around to people backstage and telling them that they need to step their game up because he plans to retire after the big dance. Multiple sources have supported this rumor, and so it projects a clear image: HBK losing at Wrestlemania.

The big day comes. The match is superb, but with wild twists, such as HBK almost getting caught in Taker's finishing moves multiple times, almost about to commit that "one big mistake" that cost him the match the previous year. Of course, he always barely escapes at the last moment.

After a plethora of near falls, out of nowhere, BAM! Sweet Chin Music. 1...2...3. The streak is over.

Not only the ultimate swerve, but would hold a second purpose as well: the company would be able to flag the individuals who leaked the news about his "retirement" to the dirt sheets and remove them, as we could assume in this scenario that HBK told only a select few people.

Possible?

Ruin one of the best things wrestling has going to out a few snitches, yeah makes sense.

Honestly, I see Bret Hart interfering and costing Michaels the match.

I could see that happening, but I think even if he wins he's going on a long vacation after the dance.

Wow I had not even considered the Bret Hart angle.

The Ultimate Swerve would be if midway in the Taker/HBK match, the Ultimate Warrior comes out and decimates them both and proceeds to shake the ropes for the rest of Wrestlemania.

This is one of the best posts in the history of TPWW.

No, Shawn is tuning up the band, and suddenly the feed is interrupted by a camera focusing on Michael Cole.

Cole: I know you internet marks wanted to see this SOOooOOooOooO badly, but I have something I know you'll like more! I'm the man of 1004 lines!

The Ultimate swerve would be Shawn hitting Sweet Chin Music. but the lights fading before he makes the cover. The lights come back up and Taker is making a cover in an unconcious state. Camera pans the ring to see the urn spinning around under the bottom turnbuckle. JR spends a few seconds spewing something along the lines of ''Oh My GAWD I can't belive this, who would want to cost HBK his career, someone must have struck him with that urn.'' The Urn comes to a stop....the lid falls off......A Black Smoke Monster breezes out from inside and decimates a few referees and spanish announcers then cuts a promo about how the whole of LOST happened inside the urn.

Can't really blame Cole for that one. I've noticed that he always seems to say the "weekly episodic program" line right at the turn of the hour when more people are likely tuning in. Probably is told to say it tbh

Yeah, I know. It's probably most likely Vince yelling in his ear to say it, but have you also noticed they've kind of slowed down on those RAW facts each Monday night.
